We're going on the 3/6 Eastern Magic and I would really like to have a meal with DH at Palo. Unfortunately he is a pretty picky eater (even DS5 and DD8 will try different things!). Meat and potatoes, chicken and spaghetti, etc. I'm wondering if we'd be better off at the brunch. Any picky eaters or spouses that can give me some help here? I'd hate to have to pass on Palo because I've heard so many good things about it.

I think he'll have a good time and will find something to eat. I'm a very picky eater. Don't care for sauces etc. I ordered the filet and asked for it to be plain. It came out wonderful and was one of the best pieces of steak I've ever eaten. Just be honest with your waiter and they will do there best to give you something you (and he) will enjoy. Check out the menus at Barb & Tony's site www.castawayclub.com before go and ask him what he thinks looks good.

Enjoy!

I am a very picky eater and was worried about the same thing. I thought I wouldnt like any of the food and it would be too stuffy for me. I ended up having a wonderful pastas dish and it wasnt stuffy at all. Our waiter made it very enjoyable for us. Palo turned out to be the best meal of the cruise.

My boyfriend is a very pickey eater (it is so annoying!). We went to Palo and he had the bbq chicken pizza as an appetizer, the filet mignon (no sauce or cheese) as a main course and of course the souffle for dessert.

Not only Palos' but everywhere on Disney tried to accomodate for his plain eating style and me being a vegetarian. It ended up working out great.

Moral of the story is - don't miss Palo.

PS - I didn't show him the menus in advance of the trip. I knew all the "fancy food" would freak him out. He basically managed to have steak and potato every night and was happy.

Thanks for the input everyone! :wave2: I feel much better :teeth: . I really didn't want to miss out on Palo. Now I just have to decide which meal to skip out on for our regular rotation!! ( I also need to keep my fingers crossed that my kids will like the clubs since they won't be together:eek: )

At least go for the atmosphere -- you will definately enjoy that! If you're not happy with the food, you can always order some room service later. Palo is not to be missed!
