Just curious as to whether on the Western 7 night cruise (or even on the Eastern for that matter) there is a particular night that people seem to fight over for Palo's reservations or whether there is a night, because of menu or other considerations, that seems to be the last to fill up? Please specify whether your experience is based on the Eastern or Western itinerary. Thanks for any insights you can offer.

The least popular night for Palos, no matter what cruise, is the very first night.
People seem to want to get situated at their table and also don't feel like getting dressed up.
I don't know which is the most popular.

We were there on Key West day on the Western for the sunset, and the view was PERFECT!!! I would highly recommend it.
On the three-day, we normally do the last night because we like to skip Parrot Cay, but last time we did it on Nassau night and the view of the city was very enjoyable after dark.

The post popular nights are the formal and semi formal nights. People don't seem to like to dress up more than they have to.

That was something I kind of suspected. I think, if we have our druthers, we will try to minimize the amount we need to dress up.

We're oddballs. We plan to maximize the dressup occasions. Skipping Parrot Cay for Palos is also on our agenda.

We went the first and second night on our seven day cruise. THe first night was wonderful, b/c we basically had our server one on one b/c she didn't have anybody else to serve. WE had the early seating, so we went to our regularly scheduled dinner and then we went to Palo's at their last serving which I believe was eight. It was wonderful.

Aseafish,

I don't think that is so odd! Although we don't plan to dress formally every night, we do plan to "Dress" for dinner. Lives are too hectic - when we're on the cruise dinner is an event. DD is ALREADY! planning her wardrobe (we don't sail for a while yet). and DH is almost as bad! Yesterday we were back to school shopping for kids and he had to get some stuff he found, "for the cruise"! (Check our countdown timer - he has time!)

Going in addition to regular dining with the kids on the first night, then adding another, sounds like a great idea, sdoane.
FantasticDisFamily, thanks for the reassurance. Glad we're not the only ones playing with dining wardrobe questions way in advance. Dressing, not necessarily formally, is a great way of making evenings a little more special.

aseafish - I like your strategy. We like to dress up, too, it's why we picked DCL. I think we will skip one night at PC for Palo's, and if we have PLA, then maybe 2 nights!
