Hi Everyone,

I think I read that you can get ressies for both a Palo dinner and brunch upon embarkation. We tend to love our servers soooo much, that we never want to miss dinner with them. Having said that, can we reserve two Palo brunches instead?

Thanks for the info!

We spoke with the manager of Palo about this during our last cruise.

Due to the limited number of slots open for Palo (dinner, brunch, and high tea) they only allow one of each reservation to be made in advance. However, he said that if you called Palo on the day you wished to attend and they had cancellations or open slots remaining, then you could indeed make multiple visits for the same meal.

So, you won't be able to make reservations in advance for a second Champagne Brunch but you may be able to get in a second seating if you call the day you want to attend.

Hope this helps!

Yes, that helps a lot.

I think you also told us about drinks and dessert at the Palo bar. We are really looking forward to that! I love champagne. Do you know if they sell champagne by the glass at the Palo bar?

They do indeed! ::yes::

In fact, they have a large selection of champagnes by the glass.

Asti, Korbel, Fairy Tale Cuvee, White Star, and more. All the food groups are there to be enjoyed by the bottle or glass! :teeth:

The higher end champagnes (Dom, Perrier Jouet, and even Cristal) are also available but, of course, only by the bottle.

 :earseek: :hyper:  :smooth:

Yipee!!!!!

I should have mentioned that the ship really is a champagne-lovers dream. (Can you tell I'm big on the stuff? )

They have those champagnes everywhere on the ship. Not just at Palo. In fact, during certain nights they even set up a table in the atrium and sell "Sparkling Moments." (A.K.A. champagne!)

So, be it in Palo, another restaurant, or a club, you're only minutes from a glass of the bubbly of your choice.

O.k. guys. . . . .a challenge for you!

On the Eastern, shouldn't we be able to get some good priced champagne on St. Maarten? After all, 1/2 of the island is French. I posted on this subject before, but everyone got off on a tagent about a guavaberry liquor of some sort. I think you were on that post! LOL We had never heard of that liquor before.

Anyway, what is the scoop on buying some good champagne on the islands?

That's a great question! :teeth:

Actually, I have seen some good deals on champagne on both St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Dom for about $90 or so.

I wasn't really looking to buy so I didn't look to see what vintage but it might be worth checking into.

And, you simply must try the Guavaberry. ::yes::

We did two Palo brunches this past week. I asked PJ while we were at the Sunday one and he jotted us down and told us to stop by on Thursday morning to see if there was room. There was!
