My time is 10 to 11:30. Do we have to be there at 10 or is this a window and we can arrive any time between 10 and 11:30?

Thanks!

The brunch can take 1 1/2 hours. They recommended 1 1/2 hrs for brunch and 3 hours for dinner when we were there in March this year.

Yes, that's why the dress code requires E x p a n d a b l e slacks for men and loose fitting dresses for the women:teeth:

:rotfl2: So the dinner at Palo is a 5+ course meal? I didn't realize that! I guess I should make a booking then!

Well, by the time your server brings you 3 appetizers, a flatbread pizza, 2 main courses, and every dessert on the menu, it becomes more than a 5 course meal. ;) Seriously, you can make the meal as many courses as you like. But the servers have a tendency to go over board. Sorry for the pun.

You have never seen so much food as they will bring you at Palo. We were a group of 9 and all pretty big eaters but we could barely taste it all. They really want to serve you and be sure that you have a great experience. Hats off to Patrice, the head chef on the Magic! He served me this best polenta I have ever had. You would think that is a funny thing to be impressed with, but I am telling you it was to die for.

Don't know what polenta is? It is basically crushed corn meal, doesn't sound like something you would get excited about does it? It was great at Palo!

This is really great information, guys! Can you believe I was actually considering not making reservations? Not any more!!! I'm there...maybe a brunch too! Guess I better up my workouts now so I can still fit in my pants after this cruise... yikes!!!:scared:

Good decision! :thumbsup2 You will love brunch, it is very different. The spread is incredible and there is a dessert table and bread and pastry table and then a mostly seafood and salad and fruit table. You can have all the shrimp , crab legs you want, even caviar! After you gourge on this buffet then they bring you a prepared meal you ordered, either breakfast or lunch or both! I'm saying pace yourself because it will be more good food than you have eaten in your life.

Can you tell we  Palo. It is the best value of the cruise. I have heard conflicting things about where the $10 for this meal goes. Our server said to DCL, which makes sense because the quality and quantity of the food is so much better than the dining room. We were happy to tip our server after the meal. Not sure what is normal but we tipped $20 for 3 at brunch and $10 each at dinner for our group of 9.

This is just a word of caution...

Yes the food is Great and theres ample quantities of it. Just remember that you canNOT eat it all. The food is pretty rich too. If you're not used to it - you may not feel too good later in the day / evening (ie get sick).

Just rememer that you've eaten a lot of good food at Palo and you don't have the dreaded norovirus (it's happened to our friends - just too much rich food overloaded their system - and you don't want to end up being quarantined).
