I found this video in my search for more detail about Palo brunch:

While it looks like quite a yummy spread, I was under the impression there were also foods you ordered. Am I mistaken or has the person in the video just not gone through the menu? (or I missed it?)

It depends. The ordered foods have only been on a menu for a couple of years now. Prior to that, there were displays of what you could order and you ordered that way.

I was hoping to find a video that encompassed it all, so I could show DH why we need to spend extra money on a meal on the ship. The video I posted is a start, but I'll have to find a copy of the menu, then.

Can you order more than one thing from the menu in addition to the buffets? Yeah, a couple of things there have me salivating.

The OP's video is an older trip to Palo. The cost was $20 at the time; it is $30 now.
You go through the buffet first, then you order your hot food, like Chicken Parmesan. They used to have all the food you could order displayed, like in this video. Now they have a menu to choose from.

It is a wonderful experience and the food is outstanding.

We recently sailed on the Magic and had brunch at Palo. One thing that we noticed was the portion size has grown. Most items are served on full sized plates as opposed to the pictures above. You could still order multiple items but both my wife and I were stuffed after 1 item plus the buffet.

We are usually a group of 4 at the table for Palo brunch, and we always order several things as a group, with the intention of sharing it all. We dont get "one of everything," but we do order about 6 or 7 items from the main menu. Often, the server recommends something they feel we should try also, and sometimes, they have been known to just bring something additional without us ordering it. They seem to really want you to try many of the items. Everything just goes on the table, we each have a plate, and get to enjoy a smaller amount of many different dishes. (This is addition to our trip to the buffet first). Needless to say, we are very stuffed when we leave there! (But we've always been extremely pleased with the food!)

This! My husband got the calzone and it was a HUGE serving. Honestly it would have been too much for a meal without all the other food. We split a waffle too and it was the size of a platter. Yet the eggs Benedict was a small serving and I could easily eat a platter of that.

Ok, I have a really embarrassing question I hope it's OK to ask. I made the mistake of showing my dh and dd the pics of some of the food. My dd got mad that she won't be able to go to the brunch with us--only because she saw all the yummy desserts that she won't get to eat. My dh then told her that he'd bring her something back from the brunch. I told him he can't take food out of the restaurant, but he said he would. How horribly embarrassing is it going to be if my dh asks/or just takes something out of the restaurant.
