I have heard Palo is extra special on Pirate night, with regard to the Lobster. Is it better there than in the the regular dining rooms that night?

What is the deal with Pirate night? I have heard there is fireworks. Is there a special menu? Is the chocolate dessert buffet with the chocolate fountains that night, too?

Haven't a clue about the lobster - don't eat the stuff - so I can't help you there. I know it's not on the Pirate Night menu which is served in all the main restaurants that night; may be served in Palo (we've never done Pirate Night in Palo).

As to Pirate Night itself, it's a themed evening beginning with the meal. Everyone finds a pirate bandanna at their place to help them get into the mood. It's also a great excuse for the passengers to get all dressed up in their pirate garb and talk funny (lots of 'aarghs' and 'me hearties' going around). Not everyone dresses, but if they've cruised before or read this board they know what to expect and can make their crafty plans, aargh!pirate:

Later in the evening is the Pirate Party on Deck 9 (basically a very loud deck party :rockband: ) with the characters appearing in pirate regalia. Captain Hook tries to take over the ship and Mickey has to save us all - that sort of thing. All capped off with fireworks.pixiedust: (Sorry; couldn't find a fireworks smilie.)

And don't forget the chocolate buffet! Haven't managed to stay awake that late, yet, but it's supposed to be good - and heavens knows we all need another meal!:cloud9:
