Thanks to everyone for the help on the dog problem.

After extensive searching, I finally found a couple of villas that will accept pets. One is in Hampton Lakes and the other is in The Palms @ Lake Davenport. My question is, does anyone have any experience with either place or know anything about them. I know both of them are on 27 south of 192, but that's about it. Fill me in on the good, the bad and the ugly to help make our decision. The house is Hampton Lakes is a little bigger, but for the most part they ofter the same things. Help. :teeth:

Hello, we have been living in Hampton Lakes for 2 months in a rental home...It is very quiet, on hwy 27 not 24 and 3 miles south of 192...The homes are very well kept and the community is very clean...I would have no questions about spending another 3 months here next year...

I am not familiar with the Palms...but these are all newer communities and if you can see the home on the internet and feel comfortable with the owner or manager it would be hard to go wrong in either...questions I would have to finalize decision..

1. king or queen bed in the master
2. TV in all bedrooms...
3. how big is the pool and is it heated to at least 86 degrees (if rented between October and May)
4. best price

good luck...Ted

:rotfl: Edited my directions. Thanks for setting me straight Ted, my typing isn't the best. lol

at Vistapark Resort, on Florence Villa Grove Road, which is one the same street as The Lake Davenport development...

We drove around it..very nice.:) You're sooooooo handy to the 192 &27 junction, AND down the 27 towards Haines City is a Publix...WalMart is 2miles or so up the other way - towards Clermont, also still on the 27.

It's not a gated resort, but this wouldn't stop me from renting there. The area is really lovely.

Just be VERY careful when pulling out onto the 27 - lights are really needed there now, esp with all the development in Legacy Park - traffic is moving fast, and we saw too many accidents right there.

Just remember, you can always do a u-turn a little ways down the road. Don't panic about missing a street or an exit:)

HTH!!
:sunny:

PS...ed'td to add...would you mind sharing the rental numbers, or the sites you found the homes on? We might be traveling with a service/companion dog next year, and would like to stay in a house again:) Thanks!!:sunny:

There are going to be lights just north from Florence Villa Grove Road -The entrance to The Palms Lake Davenport - in a few months time which will make things easier .The trafic does go a bit fast there but htese new lights combined with the ones down at Sand mine Road near the Publix will make life better.I find it amazing that lights can go up real quick when there is a big player like Wal mart or Publix involved but to safeguard lives they have to take their time .
