Palmetto, FL

Is anyone here familiar with Palmetto? If so, are there any hotels/motels there? We need a place to stay, while DH is there for work. Bradenton is the backup plan, but I'd like to find something in Palmetto if possible.

Hampton Inn and Spring Hill Suites in downtown Bradenton are your best choices. No place decent to stay in Palmetto. It’s just across the bridge. If you stay downtown you have to go to O’bricks. The best restaurant in the area! Spring Hill is brand new and has a rooftop bar but the Hampton Inn is nice as well.

We used to go to figure skating competitions every year in Ellenton, and we stayed at the Hampton Inn there. It's on the same side of the river at Palmetto, off 301, just east of I-75. Several restaurants in the area, and just north of the hotel is a very large outlet mall (and skating rink).

The downtown Hampton Inn in Bradenton mentioned above would be closer, however.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out. We're always looking for good restaurants.

Thanks for the suggestion & info. We used to live in Tampa, so I've been to the outlet several times. We never explored beyond there though.
