Palio's ?

Just curious, has anyone hear anything about Palio's? I had called to make ADR's for October a month or so ago and I was told they were closed for refurbishing. I checked out the Swan & Dolphin website which has been updated and there is no mention of Palio's under the fine or casual dining? we dined there in May and it was delicious....

It's been closed unfortunately.

An upscale italian food chain restaurant is supposed to take it's place. I haven't heard which one though.

I just did a quick search. Il Mulino is supposed to take Palio's place.

There are several Il Mulino's in the country. I don't know if the one in NYC is the same one that will be opening in the Swan.

If you do a search here, there's a post re. Palios with a link to the Il Mulino site. It is supposedly the same as the NY one. They have Il Mulinos in several major cities.

I believe Blondie and Leota are correct. Makes sense as I heard from a very dependable source that an Italian restaurant would open in Palio's place that would be along the lines of a Blue Zoo or Shula's. SO it does seem very accurate. I'll see if I can get an approximate time of opening when we're up there the end of the month. I will sure miss PALIO!!

We had reservations for the end of August at Palio. The restaurant called to tell us they had to cancel the ADR's because of renovation. I didn't know that the restaurant was being replaced. We liked Palio. Too bad.

BTW, I hate chains, even good ones, in WDW.

Sorry to hear this been there twice and it was good.
