Palio called to cancel my reservation for August

Apparently Palio will be closed for refurbishment from August to January, according to Dan from Swan/Dolphin concierge.

If you have a reservation for that time, you may want to call.

Should I switch to Shula's, Flying Fish, switch my other reservations around or something else? Any ideas?

Sorry to hear that. Fortunately you have many options in the area! We loved Blue Zoo at the Dolphin! I highly recommend it!

Thanks! I already have reservations another night for bluezoo, though, lol. I really want to try their cantonese lobster. So, I'll still need something else to replace Palio.

Palio is a great place, hopefully they are just updating it. You can't go wrong with the Flying Fish, one of the best restaurants in WDW. Another choice would be Yachtsman for steaks.

I would suggest Flying Fish. We ate there for the first time last year and really enjoyed it.

It was for Aug. 23, but in grand tradition, my vacation is from Aug. 16 - 29. A *day* too late to sneak in a reservation.

Their last day of business is Aug. 14.
Renovation starts on the 15th.

Same here. We had a reservation for 8/21. They called yesterday.

My DW, who leaves all the planning to me, leaves me a note that the resort called and they are canceling our reservation because of renovation. I start freaking out thinking it is our resort reservation. Thankfully, it's just Palio. Bummed, but there are so many great options over there.

Sorry to hear about Palio not being available.

Recommend Flying Fish over Shula, Fish out did Shula's by a wide margin during our recent (May 06) visit.

Also, the lobster cantonese at Blue Zoo is fantastic.......

We have reservation for August 19th, but noone has called me yet. I'm in the UK though. What do you think I should do if nobody calls me?!
