Check this out...She doesn't read the paper, but she does read her mochas!

Palin-
"I'm reading on my Starbucks mocha cup, okay? '"

How elitist! What "Joe Sixpack" drinks 4.00 coffees?

P.S. She didn't even quote the cup correctly!!

So by using the (mis)quote, she is implying that every woman that doesn't support her is going to Hades?

She feels so weak she is out to garner votes based solely on gender, and not issues? Makes her campaign look awfully desperate, doesn't it?

Palin can't even read what's written on a cup? Or tell the truth about it.

LIAR!

Frankly, her attack dog bit is getting old fast. So much negativity lately from the McCain camp kind of surprises me. I expected some but not this deluge.

:rotfl2: I think one of the side effects of her meds is to try and appear as ridiculous as possible. She cannot be for real. :confused3 I feel like I am on candid camera with her as McCain's running mate. I'm wondering when they are going to reveal the punk not that they haven't already ;) but you know what I mean. I mean really, is anyone taking her seriously?

I didn't either. I really liked McCain when he ran against GWB, I thought he was a moderate who would stand up to his party.

And when he got the nomination, I thought we would see that same McCain that might have been called a "maverick", but unfortunately he has shown that he is in the same republican camp and will give up his "maverick" status to try and win.

So we are going to Heck (not sure if I can say the real word LOL) if we don't support her?

So this is really a thread about the definition differences between "help" and "support" ??

Wow - Y'all bored tonight??

Anybody even bother to get the whole context of what she was saying or do you just want to argue about semantics?

Oh nevermind...

Continue on...

What does she mean? Please, enlighten me with your wisdom. ;) And I'm not bored, it's not that late here on the islands. Ya'll are up late!

I'll help her. I'll help her by sending food to her house when she's sick. I'll send her flowers when she loses the election. I'll give her a good book when I'm done reading it. I'll give her a hug whenever I see her. If her husband is a jerk, I'll tell her whatever she wants to hear. Presents on her birthday. Compliments on her new shoes, bag, blouse.... I will NOT let her ruin my country by becoming the Vice President of the United States. It's beyond her and it will destroy her children. There are just times when friends tell friends they are wrong. Where are Sarah Palin's friends?

Is she working on her book yet?

Perhaps she will include witty quotes from Jack Handy, Mary Englebright calendars, and fortune cookies in her book.

I just assumed she was talking about how she is the one going to hell. I mean, it's 100% obvious that she does not support other women--at least not when it comes to their actually getting to control their own bodies.

But still, I think her condemning herself to hell is a bit harsh.

ok....I am confused....she quoted a quote:???? So it was actually Albright that said that about women??? But because Palin read the quote she is the one responsible for it???? Help me with that thought process please.....

I'm confused, too. The quote on the cup was from Madeleine Albright.

Let me help the folks who didn't follow the link to the story:

"Now she said it, I didn't," Palin said of Albright. "She said, ‘There's a place in hell reserved for women who don't support other women.'"
As it turns out, Palin misquoted both Albright and her mocha cup, which reads: "There's a place in hell reserved for women who don't help other women."
At least for the moment, Albright had the last word. "Though I am flattered that Gov. Palin has chosen to cite me as a source of wisdom, what I said had nothing to do with politics," Albright told the Huffington Post.

Ok....so she misquoted by using "support" instead of "help".....yeah, I can see that, how could you possibly think those words might mean the same thing. Oh, ok....and I get it about Albright too....what she means is that a person who says something then reserves the right to only be quoted in situations or context that she/he deems to be appropriate. What the heck was Palin thinking?????

I guess it just doesn't bother the people that aren't going to Hell. :goodvibes
