Hi. I have a Pal Mickey that I purchased back in 2003. Will he still work? We have a 16 month old and I think she will love him. Thanks for your help.

When we bought ours this year, they told us Pal Mickey will update itself as you go into the parks as long as his nose is pointing outward, in 2003 we rented one for a day for DD and they said the same thing then.

1st generation Pal Mickey's will update for everything that was there when he was manufactured. So I doubt he will know about Expediation: Everest or Soarin...

Yes, he will need to have his nose pointed forward when entering the park. If he does not update, take him to any shop that sells him and ask if they can do a download...

I bought mine in early 2004. Is that still 1st generation? Is it worth getting a new one?

The "classic" Pal Mickey doesn't have the tux. We used ours without any regret. Oh well he doesn't know some of the newer rides! We will be bringing him home in a few weeks.
