We are taking a 10 day visit to DW later this year with my 3 year old and 1 year old sons. I was looking at Pal Mickey, but the disney website has very little information. Anyone have one used one? How helpful is it? Worth the money? Anyone know a way to get one discounted? Are the games it plays appropriate for a 1 and 3 year old?

Thanks
julie

I have the first version and it is a lot of fun. Mickey tells you little tidbits about the parks and will even tell you if a ride has short lines. The games you could probably do with your 3yo. Mickey also tells jokes.

A while ago people were reporting that the outlet stores in Orlando had version 1 for under $30. We bought Pal Mickey full price when he first came out and haven't regreted it, and my kids are 14 and 11.

Thank you for the reply,

If anyone sees one please post the store and number here I would love to get one for less and have it for our drive down in September.

Thanks again
julie

I bought the older version of Pal Mickey last year on Ebay. I paid like $30, for a brand new one. It is cool to have with you and he tells you some neat tips-like short lines, facts about certain areas, and even cracks some jokes. The newer Pal Mickey(dressed in a tux) is supposedly louder and has some more info. The prices on Ebay for the new version is any cheaper than in the parks when you factor in shipping and handling. There are rumors of another version coming out soon.

The kids will probably love a Pal MIckey. Just be sure if you get one that they do not put his nose in their mouth. The nose contains all the sensitive receptors that pick up the transmission.

We've always wondered why they didn't expand this a little with say a Pal Pooh or Pal Tigger or even *gasp* a Pal Stitch. LOL!!

I'd personally buy a Pal Donald immediately.

Now THAT's what we need...
a tour guide whose speech is totally unintelligible!

"Shicthy shicth Soarin' chazzel skizzy swuack zisssy shuuuss!"

:rotfl2:

and it would be the same for stitch....i'd rather enjoy a pal pooh bear or a pal goofy! Garwsh!

Pal Pooh Bear!! Sign me up!! I already have a Pal Mickey, but I would spend the $$ to get a Pooh Bear.

I thought it would be really cool if the Pal Mickey recognized other Pal Mickeys as they passed in the park. Wouldn't it be neat to hear him go "Hi ya Pal!" as you walked by somebody else with one?

that would be cool....i just want a pal pooh bear to say "oh bother" that would be THE most adorable thing!
