We are staying offsite and plan to "rent" a PM while we are at WDW.

Since we are staying offsite do we need to rent a new one everyday, or can you rent him for a week or so?

Sorry I can't answer your question.
However,
Have you considered buying him since it will be a whole week. You could probably resell him on ebay for more than your investment.

Rent is $8 a day and you would leave credit card or cash deposit to cover $60 cost of him for some reason you didn't return him. If you did decide to keep him your rent would apply to purchase price.We have one and love it plus it updates information each year when you visit.
