Pal Mickey (& Friends) Adventures & Fashions

Glad to help! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I bought it off ebay - it is part of an outfit for a doll.

Here is a link to someone selling the outfit. http://cgi.ebay.com/MAGIC-ATTIC-DOLL-OUTFIT-RAFTING_W0QQitemZ9523450842QQihZ007QQcategoryZ343QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I bought it just for the life vest.

Ooh, I forgot about Magic Attic doll clothes. They'd fit Pal really nice as well. You'll see that we need to get a life vest for Nicky as well in some pictures I'll be posting from camp.

Nicky had a great time at Girl Scout camp. I was bad and didn't get near enough pictures. The girls in my cabin had fun choosing outfits different days. They were upset with me that I didn't have a climbing harness, helmet & sling lines so he could go on the high ropes course with them. They made me make him some for when the next group was going up with me. They told me that they thought that the coconut bra that "Buffy" had gotten as a secret pal gift would make a great helmet. However, it was raining and wet the next time when went up so he wasn't able to wear his outfit and I forgot to get a picture. I think I have a coconut bra here so I may recreate the outfit for your enjoyment.

Here are a few pictures to start. I'm going to be like Terri & post a few every day for your daily enjoyment!

Nicky ate well at Girl Scout camp. His favorite meal was Salad Bar night. There are all kinds of salads, leftovers & desserts to choose from. It is always a big hit with everyone at camp. As you can see his favorite was the taco salad.

He got to go on a very short kayaking trip with one of my close friends from Lansing, Kris (aka Paddles), but he didn't want to get far from shore since we didn't have a small enough life jacket for him. He made me strap him to the kayak so he wouldn't fall in.

Here he is one day with Becky (aka Tie) just hanging out.

Actually, I'll have to get him a life jacket soon because Chuck and I are planning several camping trips for August and we'll be taking our kayaks!

I am loving all the new pictures from all the PM's Adventures. I promise at some point today to upload and post everything from the weekend in DC, but right now I have to come up with a teaching plan for the course I was trained in yesterday. I teach it tomorrow morning at 10:00.

Elin and I headed off to DC again with two of her coworkers. We arrived to see a beautiful sight... The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, located on the campus of the Cathlic University of America, in the heart of Washington, DC.

We checked into a thing called a dormitory and look at all the stuff we got!

Elin had made me a T-shirt so I would feel like I belonged :)
IMG_1272.jpg

That night we ate in a dining hall and they had lots of my favorite foods!
IMG_1343.jpg

And I got to sit with some of Elin's students too
IMG_1344.jpg

We were all tired from all that unpacking and running around in the heat and the workshops so we went to bed early. Now I know why college students complain about the dorm!! Those beds were like rocks wrapped in vinyl. I did not sleep very well, so the next morning (VERY early) Elin and her co-workers took some pictures and then let me go back to bed while they were in seminars and workshops.

That afternoon we got all dressed up and went to a concert and a reception in a REALLY big concert hall. I cannot believe how good those kids are! They wrote every single song they played and they had professional musicians from California playing with them.

IMG_1346.jpg

Before the concert and during intermission some of the people there wanted to have their picture taken with ME! I could not believe it since they could have been taking them with the performers, but I put on my best smile and let them take my picture with Yamaha Music Education System bigwigs and also lots of the families that filled the auditorium.

I had an amazing time and would go listen to those performers any time. I didn't get bored or sleepy at all! It was after midnight when we got home and I slept in this morning.

Elin says my time here is almost at an end. But she tells me I am on my way to New York and then headed back to Virginia, but to Virginia Beach with June! I remember June from our DDA trip to DC a few weeks ago. I can't wait to go visit her.

Bye for now... :wave2:

You guys are making me so excited for my visit with PM! I can't wait to show him around! He'll visit AAA (of course!), Kent State University, maybe up to the campground to see where my mom lives in the summer and visit Lake Erie...I think he's gonna need a booster seat for the car though...and how is he with cats???

Sounds like you will have a grand time and so will PM! I don't know how he does with cats... I know he liked our dog, but Button wanted nothing to do with Thomas. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that there was always a camera close by... ;)

OK Vicki - I'm in the mood for Taco Salad and its all your fault!!!!

:teeth:

Loved the pictures Elin - loved the DC trip.

I'm afraid there isn't going to be anything exciting here - all we really have is the Erie Canal... and how exciting is that??

But I'm sure Matt will get into it.

Chanon,

Thomas was good with our three cats. He was very nosey when they ate but then he just did his own thing. The cats tried to lay with him but I told them to stay away because I was not sure if he would get cat hairs on himself and then make someone else sneeze.

Marti,
Once you get Pal Mickey, you will be surprised on what you can have him do and the pictures you will get. I cannot wait for him to come back so I can get more pictures :rotfl:

Here are a few more pictures from our DC trip.

Thomas really liked the Duck Tour. Driving on the street and then on the river was way too much fun.

Here is Thomas in front of the tour vehicle.

He really wanted to quack, but I did it for him.

Time for bed.

Tonight we went to Build a Bear so I could make a Pooh for myself using birthday money. Abi has been carting Brooksie around in the stroller and was quite upset when I said I forgot the camera. :teeth: Brooksie was happy Abi still decided to take him into BAB as he got some new duds to celebrate being in Colorado

Here is Brooksie with the new Winnie:

We just got back from our camping trip today. I have so much laundry to do, and the mail and work, etc. I decided to stop by this thread first as the main thread has got to be several hundred pages ahead of where I left off and that is just too intimidating for me tonight. I was so happy to see these pictures. They brought a huge smile to my face. Now back to the pictures for me.

I am feeling so guilty. We did not bring our PM on our camping trip as the boys were already hauling half the house with them. (I can't imagine what they will "need" as teenagers). It was probably a good thing that he stayed at home as we had a flood one night and woke up t and inch of water throughout our camper. The toilet valve had stuck and the tank over flowed. It was a mess, but lucky for us it was clean water. Our camper is now at the dealership having the bottom rebuilt. Chris had to remove all the insulation and stuff from underneath the camper in order to dry it out. Thankfully we were able to reside in the camper for the rest of the trip and insurance will be covering the damages. PM was safe and dry guarding our "real home" as Colby would say. The boys did bring the new bear that Vicki mailed to us. We have named hime Bucky as he is a starbucks bear. He is very snuggly and the boys took turns sleeping with him. I did not think to take pictures until I saw all of the cool pictures that you have been taking. I must get on the band wagon and do some fun stuff with our bears. I came home today and had a really cool surprise in the mail from Terri (I think it is from Terri, please correct me if I'm wrong) It was a tiny belly bag. Very cute. Now I must take him on our next trip to try out his tourist look. Keep posting the pictures and stories. I am enjoying them so much.
