We are going to be getting some "bisque" colored appliances in our laundry room - which has been a white color for the 10 years we've been in our house.

I'm thinking it would be a great idea to actually paint while the appliances are not there.

If you have bisque-colored appliances - what other colors do you have in the room?

Thanks!

Antique red (looks like an old barn red) and a yellow that is so pale that it looks like a warm off white.

I second the antique red.

That was the first color that popped into my mind.

You can never go wrong with red!

Let's see if this worked.

I think it's time to go to bed... :faint:

Word of warning on the red. It looks great, but make sure you use a red primer. It seems like red paint is more translucent than other colors and it may take an extra coat of paint to get the result you want.

We just painted our dining room red and made TWO trips back to Lowes for more paint before we were happy with it!

Good luck!:D

We do have sort of a reddish color on one wall in our kitchen, with the rest of the walls a beige. Of course - our role in painting the kitchen was merely writing out the check;)

Maybe if I took the same red and used it on the wall behind the washer/dryer, and then for continuity I could use the same beige on the rest of the walls...I'm liking it!

Thanks!

I just painted our guest bedroom a light red. It looks great! I was surprised at how much bigger it made the room look!

I'd paint the entire room red with beige trim. Of course, I like the guest bedroom so much, I want to paint the entire house in that color!!!!

inaminute,
What brand and color did you use?
:sunny:

It was one of the Ralph Lauren colors at Home Depot. I'll see if I can find the paint sample and let you know the color.

We have used three different shades of Ralph Lauren paint and found coverage to be a problem. Did you have this issue as well?

I love the idea of a darker color on an accent wall and a lighter color on the other walls. If the room is small, all that red might get to be a bit much. Not to mention the lighting. Darker colors make the room darker...and I have enough trouble getting blue socks paired with blue socks and black socks paird with black socks  . Have fun! I love painting.

two shades of teal!

Thanks iNTeNSeBLue98 - I don't think I would have considered this if it weren't for your suggestion!

The wall that the washer/drayer are on is the darker of the teals - and the other 3 walls are the lighter teal. Looks fabulous!!! And the best part is this is done!
