Hi,

Any cute idea for things to do with those Mickey head paint chips from the paint store?

If your careful you can remove the color swatch from the white card and then "Mod Podge"(available at Wal-mart and craft stores) them onto the suface of your choice. I always thought it would be cute to put them on dresser drawers behind the knobs, as a border above the back splash in your bathroom, all around the border of a tabletop ( you might want to follow-up the Mod Podge with a couple coats of varathane) the possibilites are endless!

Put two back to back together and laminate (sheets available where ever scrapbboking supplies are sold) punch a hole in the top then attach them with a string to your luggage and easily identify it.

You can also use them for Christmas tags on gifts, on favor bags as tags, as seating cards for your next big dinner or party.

You could take two of them back to back and place a small pic of your child in the middle on the front of side(great project for the kids) and squeeze a line of glitter glue around the picture border then cover the front and back with Mod Podge. Punch a hole in the top add a nice ribbon and have the kids give them to their grandparents for tree ornaments.

I hope this gets you started with ideas!

????? Mickey Head paint chips? ..............

I repeat, Mickey head paint chips?!!! What are they? lol

er....Eisner didn't acquire a paint company too did he? Shoot, I thought ABC was bad enough...

LOL!

Not only paint but an entire selection of products called "Disney Home" - The swatches are at Home Depot if you want some. Along with a lot of other Disney Home stuff - I have also seen some of it at Walmart.

Have a great day!

On the DCL boards--they've mentioned using the lime green chips to identify them as DIS members on their door signs that they make for their stateroom doors.

Many DIS folks use the green Mickey heads to identify themselves while at Disney. What I did was glue 2 together back to back, poke a hold through the top and string them onto our backpack, fanny packs and water bottle straps. I also glued a few to pin-back buttons so we could wear them on our shirts.

I actually used this on another thread -- but here is a picture of the Disney paint samples:

I cut out two of them, glued them together with a piece of monofilament and have them hanging from my vehicle mirror. I'm hoping another DISer will see them and leave me a note sometime!:bounce:

I cut and glued 2 together, punched a hole on one ear then hung them on my luggage for a luggage tag. Sure makes spotting your luggage on the conveyer belt so much easier.

I've also scanned them, enlarged the mickey head to about palm sized, printed them on card stock and used that as a luggage tag. I tell you it's really nice seeing bright lime green while you're looking for your luggage.
