Has anyone ever stayed at this resort in Hawaii? It is in the Princeville area. We were thinking of renting out our DVC points and doing a direct rental. We have never stayed in Kauai and I really haven't researched the area, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Paula

Didn't stay there, but we toured it a couple years ago. It's okay, but not as nice as DVC when it comes to amenities and furnishings. If you can trade a 1 bedroom for a larger unit there, I guess I'd do it. We stayed at a different Pahio resort very near there (Bali Hai), and thought the units were large enough, but a bit run down.

Thanks Diane, It seems like a pretty good deal to me, it would be a 2 bedroom, 2 ba for $1300 week. They aren't on the II exchange, but would cost 270 points if they were. I thought that I could transfer 130 points to someone to pay for it. Also this unit is in Phase 3, the newest part of this particular resort. The owner swears that they love it (they own 8 weeks).

I was just wondering if people liked the Princeville area (cliffs) or the parts that were more on the beaches. (I can't remember the area now). I know the cliffs get more rain, but July isn't a rainy time of year. Also most units in this area do not have A/C--they say they have wonderful tradewinds, but that is scary to me. So any opinions are appreciated.
