Have any of you used a packit cooler bag on your trips? Since the mini fridges in the resorts don't have freezers, will the bags get cold enough to make a difference? I'm wondering if it is worth the extra cost, or if I should just get a basic soft sided cooler. We'll be going in Sept and I would like to keep some water bottles cold.

We get free ice water so we don't have to carry bottles around. We usually have a small softside cooler in the room just in case. The few times we have used it I used ice from the hotel ice machine in a Ziploc in place of a freezer pack.

Can't speak for all the Resorts, but if staying at the All-Star Resort, yes, yes they will!!!!

We have an Igloo MaxCold backpack cooler. Works great for our waters! (note: I forgot it for the trip I mention next paragraph, so we just used a normal backpack)

That said, it was up to 105 with the heat index according to Accuweather the other day at Disneyland, and our hotel fridge didn't work at all. So we got to experience not-cold water, and frankly it was just fine. I actually think I drank more water than I would have if it was really cold, because I didn't worry about the cold and my teeth. So even if the waters aren't ice cold all day, it's still alright.
