We leave on Friday. We are driving so we will stop midpoint on Friday night. I am trying to get us packed this weekend as I have to work all week. My question is how much do I pack. Should I pack 9 outfits for each of us or should I pack 5 and wash midweek? I don't want to over pack and I don't want to pack too little?

Thanks.

I am having the same quandry. We leave on Thursday and I too am packing today. We are staying 12days. I have packed enough shirts for everyone to last the whole time, because shorts can be worn twice usually. I loathe doing laundry there, the time and expense! That said, I may have to, but I am hoping to keep it to a minimum. It is expensive, like 4.00 per load to wash and dry. I bring soap, so that helps a little. I also don't like having to dry my clothes, but it is so humid there they are hard to dry in the room.

The packing is my least favorite part so I hope to be done tonight, as I have to work all week too! Good luck and have fun!

We typically go for 10 days each year. We still tend to over pack but this has been working pretty well.
I pack 5 bottoms in solid colors that will mix and match well plus we are all wearing one.
Pack 8 tops for me and DD and 9 for DS.We all get a new one to wear home on plane.
DD and I pack one dress.
Pack 10 underwear and socks plus one pair flip flops or sandals and Crocs and wear sneakers.
I pack 2 bathing suits and use hotel shampoo to wash out in sink and dry on the clothes line in tub.
I wear a light sweater, jacket or zippered sweatshirt on plane that can be worn at night if needed and kids do same.
We carry at least one outfit, flip flops and bathingsuit in carry on in case lugage is ever misplaced, again.
I put the kids outfits in XL Zip locks and that way they get dressed quicker, pack easier and go into hotel drawer in a snap.
Toiletries and meds were something we took carry on. We are going to have to pack in checked bag now which will likely mean one more checked bag since I dont want shampoo on my clothing.
Weigh the bag before you go because the airlines charge for heavy bags. We made it last year by 2 lbs because I weighed it already.
:hourglass I wish we were going NOW!

You don't say where you are staying, but if you have a washing machine available by all means plan on doing a wash during your stay. A couple of other packing tips that may/may-not be useful for you.

You'll probably buy a Disney shirt while you are there, so pack one less than you need.

Spread each person's stuff across more than one suitcase. That way, if one gets misplaced by the airline everybody still has something to wear.

Put one day's change of clothes in your carryon.

Pack in several smaller suitcases rather than one large suitcase - its easier to handle the smaller ones and fit them in a rental car.

If you've got some clothes that are on their last legs, take them and wear them one last time then dispose of them rather than having to take them back home. This leaves you room for your souvineer purchases.

Bring a collapsable bag that you can use on the return trip - stuff grows while on vacation. :)

When we stayed at the CBR the laundry rooms are at the pool area. So we would put in the laundry, swim, change it over, swim. It was great.

We wash. We stay at Value resorts and like the above poster stated, the laundry room is near the pool area. You can swim while the wash is getting done. The only thing that I would suggest having extra would be socks - and a second pair of shoes. Water rides and rain wreak havoc. Blisters are a sure thing if you are forced to wear wet/damp tennis shoes. We also wear jeans/jean shorts a second time most often. And we always end up buying clothing as one of our souvenirs so that should be considered. Have a great vacation!

I drive up and I overpack. My park time is too valuable to me to be doing laundry. Then again it's just me DBF and I and we're commando travelers

We have only been there 3 times (with the fourth trip coming up) and we washed for the first time this last trip. We stay at POR and the laundry rooms are very nice but I bet they are everywhere. It is just my dh and myself--we leave our grandchildren and great grandchildren home--so it is okay to stop in the afternoon. Dh relaxes and I do the laundry---kinda like home. LOL.
