Packing with ZipLock Bags???

I also use them to pack one category of clothing for everyone in the family. Use the big 2 gal. bags to put ALL the pj's for everyone and when we spend one night at the condo on the way down to WDW it's easy to grab that one bag. Same thing for all the swim suits if we want to swim on check-in or check-out day but don't have access to the room. I also like to put all the undies and socks for a trip into a single 1 gal. bag per person. As someone said it's so easy to pull it out of the suitcase and into a drawer for the duration of the trip. Plus it saves space! Our entire family of 5 can be packed into one large suitcase which I find much easier than dragging 5 different smaller suitcases/duffle bags into the resort.

I used ziplocks to pack my kids clothes like everyone else says, an outfit per day, but being that it was Sept, and there's like a thousand percent humidity there, although the clothes weren't really damp when we placed them in the bags at the end of the day, not really being used to the humidity (we're from Pacific Northwest, NOOOOO humidity here, just dry) when we got home 2 of my son's outfits had mold on them. ruined 2 gymboree shirts (of course, couldn't have been the wal mart ones :) ) I'm going to try it again this year, but not close them up and see if it is any better

I found the 2 1/2 gallon HEFTY bags at Walmart. They are jumbo ONE-ZIP. I've been washing and just started packing the kids clothes tonight - we leave in 4 days.....

I'm also bringing the Ziploc EXTRA LARGE bags (3 to a box). I'm going to use one at AK for the Kali Rapids ride. I'll put my backpack and tell all the kids and DH to put their fanny packs inside - along with our watches. I've been told the middle section of this ride sometimes fills up and is not totally waterproof. Just to play it safe...

Then I can pack the dirty clothes in the EXTRA LARGE bags to take home. They have handles at the top - we're driving, so we can stuff the bag somewhere in the back of the van - no smell!!! :teeth:
