packing vs shipping question

Ok, forgive the silliness of the question, but I have been pondering this for a bit now.

I love the spray sunblock, but it only comes in a 5oz size I have never found a 3 though I try. So I need to 1. Pay 23.oo to check a bag, with the sunblock in it, 2. Pay the 6 or so dollars to send a box to myself as the resort, but worry that it won't make it etc. 3. By it at the hotel gift shop if its avalible. We are staying at all star movies so if anyone knows the anwser to that please add your comments.

What have you all done in the past? Usually we fly southwest so its not an issue, but this time I booked delta since the tickets were so cheap. 75 less per person than SW, so even if I pay the bag fee I am still going to be ahead.

Thanks in advance for not laughing at me, I know this is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

What I would do is get a mini spray bottle like the ones that hair spray samples come in and pour it in there.

I am confused, I think
If you are checking luggage, you can put any size in it.

If not, you will either have to ship it, which I do not see an any issue, send it a few days before and put your reservation/arrival date/full name on package. I ship without issue
I do not know if that resort carries it, I wanna say that you could perhaps ask specifically if someone is at that resort now, to check for you?

Funny thing, I sent some in my sons bag, he never used it (a brand new bottle) and then ditched it instead of re-packing it the one thing I would have liked back. literally brand new and sealed ...we generally ditch our toiletries each vacation (just easier) so I guess I can not be to annoyed...

When we did not have a car, we packed it in our checked bags. And we have also bought it in the gift shop - they sell it everywhere - parks and resorts. But it will cost you more - about $11-12 bottle if I recall right. That almost sounds crazy now that I write it out, but I think that's what it was. It's as much as $7-8 at our local store I think for some brands and types, so that's probably right.

The savings on buying it at home (especially with coupons and a few bottles) would pay for the bag check fee.

I send myself a box almost every year! I put our toiletries in it, and small things like breakfast bars, small snax & stuff like that in there and ship it on Monday, we usually arrive on Sat and it's always been there. It does cost to ship a box like that, but then we use/trash everything in it, so there is nothing to ship back. If it is very important that you have it and don't want to check a suitcase then ship it,...if you don't mind checking luggage I would do that, unless that is something you just really don't wanna do.
