Going in September and curious as to what everyone's 'must haves' when they are at Disney. Mine is really good walking shoes. Please include your 'must haves' it will help me with my packing in case I might forget something.

Just got back Friday, here's what I used every day that I went to the parks.

Me: Digital camera, tickets, blackberry (this is a cell phone, calculator, pda all in one) sunglasses, small wallet big enough for some cash, license and 1 credit card, and purell. This all fit into a small fanny pack.

Kids: Camera, autograph book, retractable sharpie, purell, small stick of sunscreen, lanyard w/ pins and sunglasses. They each had a small fanny pack, and each kid wore a baseball hat each day.

One comment about the retractable sharpies....I found that my kids played with these too much while waiting in line for the characters, and ended up getting alot of permanent marker all over their brand new summer clothes. I won't bring those again. And keep in mind...my kids are older (10 and 11)

And almost forgot!!! After the first day I started bring a small stick of Deodorant. It's not something you can find in the parks, and I found that we all needed a "touch up" after a few hours in the 90 degree heat! :teeth:

Hmmm...deodorant touch up...I like that.

Infact, they should make it mandatory at the gate! Some of the foulest/funkiest smelling folks I've encountered have been in the World.

We like to bring a small, prepackaged snack...like peter pan peanutbutter crackers. They have come in very handy when waiting in a long line or waiting for shows to start.

Also, what really saved us last june were the small personal, battery operated fans.

I was relieved that PocahontasLookAlike remembered something for the feet. However, when you purchased the moleskin also get Bodyglide (they sell it at the Sports Authority stores). Bodyglide is "deodrant" for the feet. It prevents chafing and thus, blisters.

:car: DS (16, and just licensed)

:thumbsup2 Deodorant! Thanks!! Never even thought about stashing it in the backpack for the parks. That's a great idea! Does it melt easily in a backpack?

Extra shoes If you are caught in the rain during a humid time of year, your shoes will not dry out overnight.

I used a gel type one, my guess is that a solid type would probably melt.

My Teva sandals, I don't even need my sneakers at all. :) (though i will bring them)
Sunscreen, Digital Cameras, Charger, cellphone, Batteries, wife....

Anti-persperant/deoderant is great to put on mosquito bites. Our pediatrician recommended it, and it works! It takes the itch out and helps dry it up! I have even used it on ant bites in a pinch and it helps them too. It has to be the kind that contains aluminum chlorohydrate.

I love that you included your wife on your list of things to pack! Is there a chance you might forget to pack her? :rotfl2:

what is the calculator for? :confused3

For those who must stay on a budget. I always carry a little notebook and pen with me to write down what I spend. In the evening I add it all up so I know what I have spent.

I have never heard of this before. Would you need to use a roll on ? :confused3

Oh and remember to pack a rain poncho....get them from a dollar store. They won't cost as much and you will not look like everyone else in the park.
