Packing now...

We actually leave Thursday, ticker isn't accurate. I have my boys packing right now. I know it's crazy hot in August, any reason for them to pack pants or a sweatshirt???

We're leaving in two weeks and I have the same concern. I have two daughters (5 and 2). The last time we were there in August we did not want to even look at a sweater. I was not going to bring any this time, but then I got to thinking that they may want them in some restaurants if the airconditioning is blasting, or on the airplane for the same reason, or if we return to cool weather here in New York. I am not packing the long pants though. I bought two lightweight sweatshirts with a zipper and a hood at Target and that is what I am going to bring for them. Have a great trip!

I was checking out a thread regarding this exact subject last week. We leave in about two weeks. Those who have more experience than I have all but stated that we would be fools to pack jeans or sweatshirts. They will never leave your suitcase. Overnight temps are in the mid 70s. Hope that helps!

We fly so the plane always get cold. But if we were driving we would take them also. better to have an not need then to need and not have.. No way im buying a $50 mickey sweatshirt LOL unless I WANT IT...

In my opinion, a sweatshirt is good to have! I am the mom always bugging the boys to lug around a sweatshirt or long sleeved shirt of some type. Of coarse it's hot, hot, hot outside but consider the rain possible in August. A light rainstorm ( or afternoon thunder storm or like us lastyear-hurricane) A "wet" family going into the airconditioned rides and eateries makes for some chilly children!
