feel like they're packing an entire pharmacy for their family vacations?

We're leaving for WDW in 1.5 weeks and I'm packing:

decongestant for DD1
decongestant for DS4
daytime cold medecine for adults
nighttime cold medecine for adults
Tylenol for DD1
Tylenol for DS4
Tylenol for adults
Tylenol PM for adults
Pepto Bismo
Airborne
multivitamins for DD1
multivitamins for DS4
multivitamins for DH
multivitamins for me
albuterol & broncho saline for the kids
nebulizer for the kids
eye drops in case of pink eye for everyone

This might seem excessive, but on our last trip, I took most all of this stuff and boy, did we use it!

So, what medications do you usually take with you on your travels?

hehehe This sounds like me last night...we are leaving on thursday!
tylenol (chewables since both boys can chew them)
benedryl (so the oldest sleeps..between adhd and the excitment he'll need it)
claritain (for the baby)
chewable motrin...just in case
diaper rash ointment
neosporin for cuts and such
nyquil for mom (i'd prefer a shot of alcohol but this is close enough :rotfl: )
concerta (For adhd)

that's all I can think of right now!! I'm sure I'll have more in there before I leave on thrusday!!

tara
also mom to an Ethan!!

in addition i took-immodium, pepsid, benadryl (for alergic reactions), desitin (works for all cuts, sunburns, chafing, bug bites), and bengay (used this alot for sore muscles after all of the walking around).

I never take vitamins/supplements when I travel. I just throw caution to the wind and do without.

Fortunately, we all can take some of the same stuff: Motrin for instance. My kids are 14 and 11 and can take an adult Motrin so I don't have to deal with all the kids' doses.

But I take:
Motrin
Immodium
Zicam
Synthroid
Prilosec
Xanax

I would add:
Tums
Sore Throat melting strips

Remember, you can always buy meds if you don't have something.

I guess I pack light!! We will have a rental car though, so we can always go get what we might need there. We went out this weekend and got:

Chewable Tylenol for the kiddos
Advil for me
Aleve for DH's arthritis
Benadryl (I got the kid stuff and we can all use it if necessary)

And that would be all. We tend to be pretty healthy.

sorry that just struck me funny!!!

I just packed:
Tylenol
Infant's Tylenol
Children's Liquid Tylenol
Benadryl
Dimetapp
Albuterol
Nexium
Gas Drops
2 types of thermometers
Hope we won't be needing it.

All my and husbands prescription meds.
Tylenol Arthritis
Aleve
Immodium
Prilosec
Diaper cream
neosporin
Ben Gay or other like product
Tiger Balm
Garlic pills
Vitamins
Calcium
Arthritis patchs
baby aspirin

At least, I'm not the only one! :) On our last trip, we all left home with colds, got new colds on the trip, DH got food poisoning one day, and DD picked up pink eye, which she then gave to the rest of us. We'll have a rental car, so I could pick up any other meds we might need. But it's nice to have your usual pharmacuticals on hand....

Right now, DS is just getting over croup and DD has just gotten croup. So, with any luck, we'll all be healthy (until we get in the recirculated air of the airplane).

I take a small first-aid kit, never know when one might come in handy.

Tylenol
Neosporin
Small pump bottle of Peroxide
Different size/shapes band-aids
Cotton balls
Q-tips
Moleskin
Chap stick
A pair of small scissors (yes they go in the checked luggage)

We have never need anything but the Tylenol, but this way we are always prepared. This year I will be adding Tylenol Complete (for allergies).

I also always take my inhaler.

We hauled a bunch of meds this last trip. We carried an epi-pen, benadrly, steroid (emergency kit) for Ds. I also took darvocet as I'm still recovering from ankle surgery. We did skip the vitamins but I took the rest of the kids allergy stuff like dallergy, albuterol, sigulair, and flovent. I just hope someday we outgrow some of the allergy/asthma!

Soooooooooooooooo glad to know that we aren't the only ones who pack practically the entire medicine cabinet. I have DH and two kids who, when sick, use nebulizers and inhalers on a semi-regular basis and all of us have allergies that we take meds for plus we all are just getting over colds so - it might be easier to list what I'm not bringing.

Pamprin!

Tee hee - sorrry - hope I don't offend! :rotfl:

Everybody have a great trip!
