Packing lists??

Can someone point me in the right direction for a packing list? I've got clothes covered for the most part...will be checking the weather prior to our trip which is scheduled the last week of January. The trip includes myself, hubs, and our 4-year old son. So I'm looking for suggestions for those things you wished you had thought about...like glo sticks!

My husband is Platinum on American Airlines, so number of luggage pieces isn't a terribly big issue, except for getting it all in a rental car! We're going for 8 days, with the first part of the trip in San Diego.

Some items on my packing list are:

Comfy walking shoes
A sun hat
Sunscreen
Small first aid kit...small enough to fit in a small purse. Can also put the items in a ziplock bag
For small kids, extra change of shorts/pants if your kid is newly potty trained
Water bottle
Grab and go snacks
1 glow stick per kid per each night at parks
Large scarf or sarong (to sit on during parades & such)
Bathing suits
Flip flops
Small toys to play with in the car (we usually road trip it)
Sweatshirt to wear in evening
1 cheap dollar store poncho per person. Walmart often also has these. Very small and packable

And....
A good attitude
The mindset that a bad day at Disneyland is better than a good day at work or school.

I forgot about...
If you will be using the hotel laundry room during your stay, bring some powdered detergent. The stuff they sell in the laundry room can be $2 for a single-use package. It adds up rather quickly.

We pack mole skin for blisters...someone always gets a blister.

Granola bars for quick snacks. Sometimes you just get hungry.

Pennies and Quarters for the press coins.

Reusable water bottle with filter. I think they are called Bobbles. We drink a lot of water and the taste of the Florida water is pretty bad if you are not use to it. We fill it up at water fountains or restaurants.

If getting autographs, we use a Medium Size Sharpie. Its easier for them to write with.

Ziploc bag for phone if purse/camera is not waterproof.

Advil (or whatever you might use) because us adults get bruised up in those rides and it's amazing what is sore by the end of day 3!

Sharpie pen if you will bring bottled water into the parks. We freeze ours in the mini fridge, and they double as ice packs to keep string cheese and other snacks cold in the back pack.

Also, a must is a portable charger for your smart phone, especially if you plan on taking pics with it, and use a wait time app.

I am OCD about packing... I have a list going. I like to pack light but you would never guess that by this list. This is obviously for my family's personal use, so you can cherry pick what works for you and your family.

Pack a first aid kit. Nothing worse than driving around Anaheim looking for something open at midnight to get some band aids and neosporin.

I always bring all sizes of zip-lock bags. I always bring my Dad home a turkey leg so I make sure I have a few of the 2 gallon sized, also a few of these are great to keep whatever bag you are carrying in the park, my DH and I would stuff everything inside one, camera, wallets, autograph books, etc, and haven't had anything ruined by water yet.

I also bring a small power strip and extension cord. The power strip I keep in my suitcase has three regular outlets and two USB ports, and with all the electronic items that need charging this is a godsend....also the extension cord, because sometimes, outlets are in hard to reach spots.

I also pack a small pair of scissors in my checked luggage to cut off whatever tag on clothing item I purchased but might want to wear.

I carry a small cross body bag with my usual purse items in it (wallet, phone, sunglasses, etc) I also carry a back-pack with my camera(s), chargers and cords, tablet and/or e-reader, headphones, 1 qt. bag with liquids in it (lotion, saline nasal spray, contact lens solution, eye drops, lip balm, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, lip gloss, and make-up brush (it's held me up several times so I now keep it with the liquids), eyeglass case, portable charger, scarf/pashmina, and if I am going to someplace cold, gloves and hat.

In my checked luggage, it's the usual, but I use packing cubes from ebags.com to sort items. I have several sizes, I keep underwear and bras in one, socks (and I bring more than I need) in one, tops in one, pants and skirts in a larger one. I also pack a smaller bag that I can use as a carry-on on the return trip.
