I would add to your "to do" list turn off water to the washing machine. My neighbors went on vacation a couple of years back, while I was mowing I noticed water flowing down their wall. The supply line ( the rubber hose from the wall to the washer) had ruptured and it had to have run for a couple of days before I saw the water. I turned the water off at the street for them, they are friends but we didn't have keys to their house. The laundry room was on the 2nd floor, it did tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage to their 9 month old home, not something I would want to come home to.

WOW thank U very much!!!!!

Not to criticize, but DO take more than one credit card! True, the more you take, the more you can lose, but, what if you do lose one? You need at least two, I always have three. Just carry them in seperate places. Also, not everyone takes American Express (my favorite). Also, Once my MC just wouldn't work, for no reason. It just said "refused, customer to call". When I did, there was no reason for the card to be rejected. However, it took about a week for it to get up and running again. Hate to be dependent on just one card under those circumstances!

Also, please do remember to take Imodium and Pepto bismol. Even if you're not prone to stomach/intestinal upsets, do remember the stress of traveling and different food can cause such problems. Just take the tablet form, as it won't take any room or weight. Its the last thing you want to run around looking for on a trip.
