Just 7 days until we set sail on the Magic. Let the packing begin!!

I can't find a good packing list and the Calgon1 comes up "page not found".

Can anybody help?

Every packing list I've ever seen contains way too much stuff! If your brain disagrees with any list, use your head.

Is there a DCL specific packing list. I've pretty much got everything that I "need" and "want" to take with us. But I would like to have something in print that I can check off against.

Just remember, after you have packed - open your suitcases up, take 1/2 the clothes out and then take at least one less suitcase.

You will NOT need everything you think you do.

I will pack less on this cruise.

Bahahahahaha:rotfl:

Here's the link to the best tips list. It's pretty long and the last time I checked there were some duplications but it's a fun read and has several packing tips/lists.

Things I wouldn't be without were over the door shoe holder and power strip. Take less clothes. I think we ALL tend to pack too much.

Seaspray...thanks for the link. I found a lot of useful stuff there. :)

Not sure if this was listed - but for those who might bring wine for their room. We had a bottle dropped off by our TA the first time we cruised and needed a cork screw. Our cabin steward gave us a DCL cork screw which he said we could keep. It made for a nice souvenier.

Another tip - If you win at Bingo during the week - take the money right to Guest Services and pay down your Account. It is amazing how the charges rack up - especially if you play Bingo everyday/sometimes 2 x a day:teeth:

I found that making a chart of the week with the themes for each evenings dining, along with shore excursions listed by day made our packing list "just right". I know it sounds anal but it worked!

I noted other things on teh list too, like which morning we had character breakfast, Palo's brunch, tropical night, formal nights, semi formal night, even day at sea activities. It helped me keep up with what I wanted to do and where I wanted to be. It also made life much easier for me when DH would ask, "What am I supposed to wear tonight?" I'd tell him to check the list! ;)

It worked like a charm. The only thing I would caution is, if you are a big t-shirt souviner shopper (like we are), cut down on t-shirts brought from home becasue you are gonna want to wear your souviner T's, I know WE did! :p But we had just the right amount of clothes for each day we were gone. Pack waaaay more bathing suits than you think you might need I always had one or two drying in the bathtub! I like to have a fresh dry one to put on, not a cold and clammy one. ;)

HTH!
