Packing list for vacation home

I'm not sure if it's already been posted but I'm trying to gather a list of the essentials I'm gonna need for our first couple of days on Windsor hills.
Some things I'm thinking of picking up locally at target ect. But we arrive late on the first day and our 2nd day is jammed with disney.

So far thinking:
Couple garbage bags
Paper towels
Lysol wipes
Few tide pods & dryer sheets
Snacks
Personal items

We rented a townhouse in WH in May and here is a list I made for that trip (we drove down):

Toilet paper
Paper towels
Dish washing liquid
Bottled water
Laundry detergent
Dryer sheets
Lysol wipes
Febreze (the couches were a bit mildew-y smelling)
Beach towels
Pillows

I also wished I would have brought our own sheets because the ones in the house were kind of old and nubby.

Spices, if you are cooking.

Last time, I rented a house that had a Keurig coffee machine. So, you might want to add the coffee pods you like to your list, so you don't have to buy a full box at the supermarket. That is, if you use Keurig coffee machines.

Coffee filters (basket and cone as coffee machines vary)
knives ( rental ones are often dull)
a good all purpose frying pan ( the deeper the better) with lid
Travel mugs for the car and sitting by the pool ( mugs are often tiny )
laundry basket (also good for packing stuff in)
plastic sandwich bags and containers for leftovers and snacks for the parks
soft sided cooler ( good in the car and for visits to the main pool)
Large beach towels (rental ones are often threadbare)
jar candle/flashlight (WH has lost power for short periods the last 2 years due to overload)
night lights
playing cards or games
power strip for plugging in phones, laptops etc
laundry pre-treat stain stick
room air fresheners

We go for a while and like our comforts from home!.... That is the beauty of driving down and not worrying about packing limits!

I would suggest making an outline of what you will be doing during your vacation and then what you will need in your WH house. Upon arrival, do a quick inventory of the property and then determine what you will need above and beyond what is provided. We have found that the WH villa we stay in is very well stocked with cleaning supplies, garbage bags, paper towels, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, coffee filters, etc. We have never needed to purchase anything additionally. We have stayed elsewhere where very little was provided so I believe that every property is different and you won't know until you arrive

We do a quick inventory on arrival and then one of us stays with the kids for a swim while the other runs to Super Target to pick up what we will need. The Super Target on 192 is open until midnight and has everything you could want.

We have also learned how to pack smart. With the washer and dryer, we now only bring 1/2 of the clothes that we would normally pack for a vacation. It saves time and our backs when hauling luggage.

I would add a few ziploc bags for leftovers or whatever. I just always seem to find a use for them.

My list of items to bring or purchase if staying in a vacation home.

• Flashlight and nightlight
• White vinegar (buy don't fly) to clean washer, dryer, and drains that smell Rinse it well as it removes colors.
• salt, pepper, sugar and good pancake turner if you are going to cook
• a couple rolls of TP as what is in house most likely feels like sandpaper
• extra blanket if you have a "cold blooded" person
• sweats and shorts (rentals are always the wrong temp)
• Pen
• Baking soda for Fridge/Freezer

We use a dollar store rather than Target. Especially if you can't take items home with you.
