I'm planning on doing few loads of laundry while at WDw and don't want to have to purchase detergent there. What kind do you bring with you/what do you pack it in? I saw some trial size bottles but they were $1 each a load. Does anmyone know of another idea?

I have a couple of ideas. First of all, you can get the Purex Complete 3-in-1 sheets. They look like dryer sheets on steroids and have the soap, fabric softener and anti-static stuff built in. Just throw on in the wash with your clothes and then move everything (including the sheet) to the dryer.

Secondly, you can make your own laundry packs using dry detergent and dryer sheets. Measure out single loads of laundry detergent into snack size zip lock bags and the put the full bags along with the appropriate number of dryer sheets into a larger ziplock bag. I have never had a mess with this method as the laundry soap is double bagged.

You may also want to pack a roll or two of quarters. However, I am not sure how much washers and dryers cost these days.

Purex 3 in 1 sheets!!! I think they even have 2 packs for travel, but if you think you will be doing more than 2 loads get the bigger box and throw a few into a zipper bag!!!!

I'll have to check out those purex sheets. sounds interesting to say the least! I knew there would be some neat way to pack a soap that wouldn't be messy! (and that wouldn't cost as much as detergent at WDW)Thanks for the tip.

The Purex 3 in 1 Sheets are FANTASTIC!!!! I used them last year and already have them in our box for next week. Bit of advice, be sure to put them in and let the washer fill a bit with water before putting your clothes in. The first time I used them last year, I didn't read the instructions. I turned the washer on, water was filling, put clothes in and then the sheet. Well when I took my clothes out they were covered in a white film. No biggie, I read the box and rewashed them properly.....no issues from there on.

I am bringing the 3-in-1 sheets this year too! Haven't tried them yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Google Purex free sample and see if they still have the sample going on - I got a free 2-pack, which is what I'm taking

I bought the Purex 3 in 1 sheets and will be using them for our visit

Great tip the free sample is still available so I put in for that and also printed a coupon for $1 off it does'nt give a size on the coupon so I guess you could use it for a small pack as well. Linda :)

This is our 7th year in a row and I just put a scoop of tide in small baggies and then put bounce sheets and the tide in a big baggie We live in Canada and don'tt have the Purex sheets

You can get a free sample with that link for the Purex cloths. I recommend them. Also, it is not $1 per load, I believe it was $1.50 to wash and that much again to dry, maybe even $2 each. Bring a roll of quarters with you.

I have used the 3 in 1 sheets three trips now and they are wonderful. Stains came out and everything smelled fresh and clean. :laundy: I bought two more packs to keep in my owners locker. Very convenient for travel.

I'm picky about my detergent, so I won't use Purex (no flames, please) but usually they put out 1.00/1 Tide coupon and u can use the coupons on the travel size Tide detergent. That's what we have done and will be doing this time around.

Then buy a small box of dryer sheets and put in a ziploc bag.

Another vote for Purex 3 in 1.
Used it over Christmas trip,
Way easier than everything else we've tried. in our past 5 trips.

I believe it's $2 to wash and $2 to dry. We always bring rolls of quarters because we never could get those $1 machines to work (the machines to give you change.)

I put regular detergent in load size ziploc bags like the poster above. I have picky skin and would not want to even try a new detergent.

My DH is allergic to most laundry detergent.

We've found that liquid All free and Clear works for him so I buy it in the travel size bottle for our vacations.

We can't use dryer sheets either. Sigh.

Luckily whatever Disney uses on their sheets doesn't bother him because he wears Pajamas, otherwise I'd have to contact Disney about it.

Just want to mention that when using the DRYER be sure to clean out that lint screen. The dryer will NOT dry and can go on forever in the heat and humidity ;)
And I think its 2. each wash and dry. I usually just buy that $1. tide at Target.
