Packing for flight questions

I have not flown since 2004 and not sure what regulations are. Can you carry liquids in carry on or do I need to pack shampoo etc in luggage? Is there a link someone could post on guidelines?

You might want to check out this site.

Only liquids or gels 3.0 oz or less that fit in 1 quart size zip lock bag are allowed in your carry-ons. I usually check all my shampoos, etc.

I did read the link that was posted and I'm unclear as to whether or not there is a restriction on liquids on checked luggage. Liquid soap, bigger bottle of shampoo, conditioner, lotions etc.

No restrictions on what goes in your checked luggage. You can put any size in those bags that you want. I have a qt. sized baggie that is always ready to go....but I carry my 'regular' toiletries in my checked bags. I like to have that qt sized baggie with the stuff in it just in case my bags get delayed.

There is not a restriction on liquids in your checked luggage. You can pack a 2-gallon bottle of shampoo if that's what you want!
