Anyone know what the weather is like on the western caribbean cruise in November?

I'm packing light stuff...nothing too warm. I've heard Mexico is very hot right now!

Any last minute tips for our first cruise?

Very excited :)

We're going out next week as well and I'm packing for warm weather. Someone on the cruise meet thread said it will be about 79 degrees as we embark, so that's what I'm going with. :D Shorts and tanks/tees for daytime and summery clothes for dinners. :sunny: Don't forget your sunscreen and any OTC meds you might need. Good luck getting your packing done and lets hope the week goes quickly! :teeth:

We went on the Magic last Thanksgiving and the weather was perfect. Hot, but not too hot. When we got back to PC, however, a cold front had blown in and it was coooooollllldddd! We spent a few days following our cruise in Orlando and it never got above the 60's during the day.
I don't think that's common, though.
Have a great cruise! Ours was fantastic!

LadyHawk10,

We're packing the same things we pack for summer. I saw in GC it's to be 85 next week. Not much difference between that and what it's like in the summer. Maybe it will be a bit less humid.

We just returned from the Western yesterday. The weather was great the whole trip.

Wed. night the sea was choppy (crossing the Gulf Stream maybe)? and Thurs. (sea day) was very windy but still a warm windy.

Weather at all the ports was very comfortable and would not describe any of them as being hot, including Cozumel. Was a beautiful day there last Wednesday. Was also a glorious day at Castaway Cay on Friday.

I would bring a jacket or sweater for the evening as the movie theater (Buena Vista Theater) can sometimes get a little cool. Also might want it for walking the top deck later in the evening.

Have the best vacation ever. :wave2:

you can go to www.weather.com and put grand cayman in the search and you will get a good 10 day forecast. I just checked and it looked like highs in the upper 80s Lows in the upper 70s for the next 10 days.

It's been chilly in Orlando all week, so pack accordingly if you are spending any time here before or after your cruise.

Have a great trip!

Yes, we have a few days at the Beach club before the cruise....so I'm packing some jeans and a sweater...thanks for the info!
Can't wait! :)

Just returned from the Western Saturday. Weather very warm and humid. But I froze in the Walt Disney Theatre and in the hallways.

best advice is take half of what you were planning to pack, we way overpacked for our first cruise, breakfast very informal, shorts , t shirts etc, lunch pretty much the same, evenings i mix and matched apart from formal night when i dressed up, we didn't wear half of the things we took and that includes shoes. you will have a wonderful time, but yes take a light jumper for visiting deck in evenings , we also found that if you were sat by a a wall in parrot cay it was cooler as under the air conditioner. they do have free packets of chewable sea sickness tablets outside the medical centre on deck 1 if you need them.
