We're leaving on Fri for 8 days :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :hyper2:
(can you tell I'm a little excited? lol) Goodbye snow!!

What am I forgetting/not thinking about?

2 outfits/day
socks
diapers
wipes
wetbag (doing gdiapers, need someplace to keep soiled covers)
diaper rash cream
pjs
baby wash
wash cloths
towel
moby wrap
stroller
car seat
receiving blankets
swaddle me (swaddle for dummies since DH and I could never do a real one)

swimsuit? How does that work? I bought one at Gymboree and it has a thick bottom that feels like it wouldn't allow stuff to escape but I'm not really sure.

Anything that you can think of that I'm missing? Thanks!!!!

I would also include a sunhat and or sunscreen - their skin is so sensitive at that age

what about a carrier, gosh it seems like forever ago but we used to have baby bjorn carrier and it was easy to move around in whilst keeping DS and us happy

Yep, didn't even think about the sunscreen, lol. Thank you! The moby wrapis our carrier. It's great because I can "wear" her several different ways and even nurse her in it. Thanks again!!:)

Hi! I have a question for you, and I'm so sorry for being OT-- but I can't remember so I figured I'd ask. How often is your 2mo old DD waking through the night?

I just had to ask because it came up with my DH last night and I couldn't remember, lol.

Thanks!

one more thing, although you've probably thought of it - if you are planning on flying don't forget to pack a clean top for you in your carry on baggage - it's all very well having a change of clothing for her but you don't want to sit through an entire flight smelling like baby sick - trust me i learnt this one the hard way :confused3

lol, no problem! Once she goes to bed around 10 or 11 (sometimes 12, eek!) she'll sleep 5-7 hrs, eat go back to bed for 2-3 more hrs.

That's why I love this board! That's something I didn't even think of! Very helpful, thank you!!

Thanks! That sounds about right to what DD was doing. She's still a night owl! I just couldn't remember for the life of me, and DH and I were talking about it last night.

and are worried about leakage, can I suggest picking up a pack of swimmies? Both Huggies and Pampers manufacture them and I think I saw some at Walmart the other day.

Also, if you are using pacifiers bring a couple and maybe a small container of soap to wash them.

Have a great time!

I noticed you asked about a swimsuit. DD was a summer baby and I think we had her in the pool at 8 weeks. I just put a regular diaper underneath the swimsuit, just in case of a poopies. I never trusted the thick/lined bottoms. Swim diapers start at size 3, and well DD's in those *now* lol. It's a shame they don't make them smaller.

will you be taking a snowsuit/coat and heavier blanket with you? it can still get chilly there this time of year.

bibs
burpcloths
toys for baby( like a wrist rattle or something like that)
sunshade for stroller
rain cover for stroller

those are a f ew things i can remember packing for the kids whenthey were babies.

Oh!! And a nasal aspirator and nose drops! I remember having to have them delivered when we were there. And Mylicon, while you're at it!

Good call on the Moby - I took my 2 month old in November and had him in my Sleepy Wrap everyday (same-style wrap, different name). Sooooo comfortable even to wear all day, and easy to nurse in too!

About the sunscreen - I didn't think they recommended sunscreen until 6 months+ ? Might need to check with your pharmacist on that.

It is dangerous to use a regular diaper in the pool as they absorb water and weigh down the baby. Also, they can get full and burst, adding gel chemicals and anything in the diaper into the pool. A swim diapers only job is to contain solids and usually the padded swimsuits are more reliable than the disposable swim diapers at doing this.

They don't reccomend sunscreen till 6 months. I took my 4 mos old. I had a ray shade to help block the sun too. I second something to keep her warm. The weather can change everyday. We are going in Feb, and I'm packing for both temps. Can we say Layers.:thumbsup2

Enjoy!

I think the no sunscreen thing at a young age is b/c of them putting their hands in their mouths all the time & just to keep you from having your child out anyway. I would never be out at WDW w/out sunscreen no matter what age.

Little Swimmers and I swear they come in size 7-12 lbs now.
Orajel or some kind of other teething med - you just never know
Doctor's office on call # in your phone (LOL)

For baby carriers, I loved the Ergo at that age. Oh hell, I still love it.
