Packing (esp with infant) what do you bring with you?

We are starting to pack for our vacation in a couple weeks and I am reading so many great ideas from the boards I wanted to see what other items people would mention.

This is our first trip with a child - DD will turning 1 at the park. Since we have never traveled with a little one - I wonder - what kind of items helped you during your trip. (We are staying at Pop for five nights.)

Someone mentioned clothes pins to hang wet bathing suits (would never have thought of that). Or traveling with wire hangers to hang lots of clothes so not just living in the dressers.

Any other cool ideas on what non-traditional items to pack?

We started taking our DD when she was 6 month old. She will be going on her 4th trip in May. If you infant is eating solid food at all, we found it handy to use the rubber placemat that rolls up on itself (from Babies R Us). There is a little trough attached and it kept DD clean. We also took the microwaveable cups of grean beans and peas, and the dole fruit cups. This way, we always knew she would have something a fruit/veggie at every meal even if DH and I didn't order any.

To make traveling around the parks a little easier we left extra clothes and medicine in the room. We figured if she got sick, we would go back to the room anyway and if she had an accident we would pop into a gift shop to purchase what we needed. We had our bag down to the bare minimum.

It can get pretty warm in those strollers, especially since so many are dark colored now. A fan keeps the air moving. Also, a stroller cover to keep your stroller from getting wet during afternoon showers.
