We're leaving Wed and just now have started thinking about packing. My sister has a 1 yr old who is weaning off of Gerber 3 (only comes in glass jars). We are staying at WL and taking DME therefore we will not have a car. We don't want to buy baby food on site and pay exorbitant prices. Do we pack a box and check it? Do airlines allow you to carry on 1-2 bottles? We will need some to take to dinner...We are going to Chef Mickey's on our arrival night and may not have our bags by then.

I appreciate any help.

im not sure how to pack babyfood for a length of time..i guess very carefully..lol. As far as bottles yes they are no problem through security. We were allowed juice and milk. I would probably suggest a carry on with all the baby food in them.

We took baby food, several bottles, bottled water (wasn't allowed at one airport), and several cans of water through security w/ no problem.

Hi!
I just went through this same scenario. We took my then 11 month old to the WL in August.

Regarding the bottles: You may take prepared formula thru security. I had some powder packets and water with me, and the water bottle was 'confiscated.' So either prepare and keep cold, or just wait til you are thru security and buy a bottle of water to prepare formula.

The food: I ended up going to Target and buying an inexpensive plastic box with a latching lid. It was about 8 inches tall and maybe 10 inches wide...I'm guessing. It held about 18 of the plastic square baby food jars. I just stuck the whole box into my husband's carry-on duffel bag. No problems with airport security with this.

There is baby food in the Mercantile in the WL, but it is very limited.

The other option is to just take a few things, and then order the majority from a grocery delivery service, such as gardengrocer.com and have them deliver everything to you at the WL.

Have a great time.....

I know I just got back....
but still....
I'm a little jealous.

:)

PS... Oh... forgot to mention this... I visited the Baby Care Center in Epcot and they had a pretty good selection of baby food, formula, diapers, etc.
