Packers to the super bowl!!!

Scalpers were trying to sell seats for last nights game for $300.00 a piece for nose bleed seats, and I was one of over 66,000 who sat out in 4 degrees and -4 windchill to cheer our team to victory.

Guess we'll just have to agree that the Steelers and Packers both have some pretty loyal awesome fans. :thumbsup2

Neither team is my favorite team but I am happy for the fans of both cities for a job well done by both teams. I am especially happy that the Steelers beat the Jets. But I also feel that the Packers were the better team against the Bears.

It should be a good Super Bowl for everyone. Congratulations to you and the other 66,000 fans who sat out in the windchill to watch the game.

Thx ! We're idiots but it was fun. :)

That's why the Packers have sold out every single home game since 1960...and the waiting list for season tickets has more people on it than there are seats at Lambeau. If I put my son on that list today, at 14 years old, he'd be dead of old age before his name came up. :thumbsup2

I just saw a video of a rally in Atlanta from the game last weekend and they were talking to some guy holding his baby and said they just put her on the waiting list and she's like number 86,000 or something. :rotfl:

I've only been to one Packer game my whole life (it was against the Redskins and was Brett Favre's last year with the Packers). I'd love to go to another game but it's so hard to get tickets even when they play a bad team. :scared1:

According to Wikipedia, the waiting list for Steelers tickets is approximately 26 years, was started in 1972, and there are approximately 88,000 names on the list.

The waiting list for Packers season tickets is approximately 40 years, started in 1960, and has approximately 83,881 on the list.

With that being said....GO PACK GO

Time for me to go do some laundry. DS has worn a Packers jersey every day since the first playoff game (January 9th), and will continue until the Super Bowl, and during games, he switches between a Clay Matthews and Aaron Rodgers jersey, depending on if offense or defensive is on the field!

I find it hilarious that some Steeler fans seem to think Pittsburgh is the only team that has loyal, die hard fans all over the country. :rotfl:

As far as fan loyalty goes, I don't think any team can beat the Pack. :thumbsup2

We're one of a kind. :cheer2:

I've been to Lambeau Field and it is quite an experience. I will say, Packer fans are great. However, not sure I would call them one of a kind. As much as I hate the Steelers they have a great fan base as do the Packers. And there can be no denying Browns fans. Who else has lost a team that was so rabidly followed and supported only to lose it for absolutely no reason and then flood the NFL headquarters none stop to vent. Even the NFL had to take notice, admit Modell was dead wrong, and give us OUR team back, minus the idiot who moved it with a secret handshake on a Baltimore runway (pathetic, and since that day the Ravens are the only team I hate more that the Steelers).

Below is an excellent link from a couple of years ago. It lists the top three fan bases in the NFL. It takes into consideration stadium atmosphere, road base on the road, loyalty when team sucks, and several other factors. Their ranking was 1. Steelers 2. Packers 3. Browns. It was close, and while I think Browns fans are the best, I think they did get the top three correct. ;)

you're killing me Goofy. Don't make me actually like a Browns fan. ;)

You guys are awesome though. Have been to many a games in Cleveland and always had a great time.

You know who had the deciding vote? A Pittsburgh native.

Let me help you dislike me then; don't let my respect for the way the Rooney's have run the Steelers make you think I like them; I still dislike them with a passion. I could never cheer for them ( take that back, I did against the Ravens), and would not wear the black and gold even if I was embalmed and ready to be dropped six feet into a hole. :rotfl2:

I should say my house is a house that is divided. My wife's family is from Vandergrift, just outside of Pittsburgh and I have not heard the end of it in my almost 25 years of marriage.

Yea, I saw that as well. But I also have to disagree with the article in the points they gave for stadium atmosphere. And I think someone was smoking some funny stuff to rate Cleveland tail gate activities so low... I have been to 14 NFL stadiums outside of Cleveland and rate it in the top 5 for tail gate parties (not being partial either). And yes, I'd say your Packers are right there and hate to admit it, but I have been to Three Rivers and Heinz Field many times and they are pretty wild as well.

!!! GO PACK GO !!!

Our 2 favorite pasttimes: Disney World and the Green Bay Packers!
Thankfully we are DVC Owners and Season Ticket Holders!

I was rooting for the Packers and am glad they won but that was a very boring and poorly played game by both teams although I do have to say at least Rodgers can take a hit unlike the beards Qb's

Really ???? So Rodgers knows how to get hit and not tear his mcl ? Pretty impressive. No qb was sacked more times this year in the NFL than Cutler. I think he has taken a hit to two. Rodgers has had 2 concussions this year. I don't accuse him of not being able to "take a hit".

I really don't care for Jay Cutler, but I agree with you, he has taken some shots this year. I also believe it would have hurt the Bears more than helped to have Cutler stay out there. However, I do believe there are some who could have sucked it up and still played. I'm not saying he wasn't hurt, there is medical proof of Cutler's injury.

But this story (Cutler) is not over until the master of the " I play hurt no matter what is on the line" says it's over. Guess Le'Brick will address the nation concerning the State of the Union speech as well. :lmao:

Thanks everyone for the Posts... still a little confused about where to go but to watch the game. I think we will try the bar in one of the resorts, not sure which one.
We are staying at CSR and not sure if Rix Lounge seems like a football type bar, Any suggestions of which resort would have the best bar for watching the big game?

The ESPN Club is the obvious choice and it will be *crowded*, but any TV will have the game on. Heck, the ESPN Club will have the game on OUTSIDE on the Boardwalk. Maybe over at the All Star Cafe over at the sports complex? I've never been there so I don't know how big it is. Wear your Green and Gold!

My choice would be the ESPN club or maybe one of the golf course bars. It is either that or sit in your room and watch. Disney don't have that many tv's in their resort bars.

Since our trips are usually in the fall, we have been at Disney for many a football game. We've watched games at the Poly's Tambu Lounge and WL's Territory Lounge. Not "sports bars" by any means, but they definitely have TVs, drinks, snacks, and comfy seating too!:yay:
