Packers to the super bowl!!!

Congrats to the Packers and the Steelers!!

I am so excited to live in Wisconsin!!!! Go Packers!!!! Very proud of what they have done this season...
People keep talking about how they beat the 3rd string quarterback...but do they realize that a lot of the packers team is at least a 3rd string because of all the players on IR!!!

They showed that it is not just the Offense that is good but the whole team.

Congrats to the Steelers on a great game yesterday!!!

This will be a great Super bowl, there are two great teams playing that both deserve to be there.
:cool1:

Go Packers!!

It's going to be a crazy two weeks around here!! And we're going to love every minute of it!

I am a lifetime (and longsuffering) Browns fan, so with that I can't stand the Steelers and there is no way I will ever cheer for them (even to spare my life). Everyone loves a winner, and Steeler Nation has to have the largest bandwagon filled with front runner fans (whatever happen to all those 49'er fans). This of course is not true for those who live in Pittsburgh or who are native to the city and moved, those are true fans.

I can't stand the arrogance of Mike Tomlin, though he is an excellent coach. I can't stand the dirty play of James Harrison and will give him no credit on the field. I can't stand Ben Roethlisberger, but he is a clutch player. As for his personal life, I believe where there is smoke there is fire and that smoke has burned twice for him. The one exception of whom I like is Troy Polamalu, he shows that you can play the game hard and aggresive and still play it clean (take notice Harrison).

With all that said though, you have to credit the Rooney family and the Steelers organization. Prior to 1972, the Steelers were one of the most pathetic organizations in all of sports; however since 72 they have only had six losing seasons. This team also has stability; since 1968 they have only had three head coaches. Not to mention, they are excellent on draft day. There is no doubt they are possible the best organization in the NFL, if not all of sports (including that baseball team in NY that likes to throw around $$$ and try to buy their titles). Am I jealous of this team? Your darn right I am. I'm just an envious Browns fan..

With that said,

Go Greenbay!!!

Agreed! Even though the Packers defeated my Eagles in the first round of the playoffs, I find myself cheering for them. Go Packers!

I think Rodgers didn't play up to his potential only because the Bears Defense is that good. I would expect a similar game with the Steelers since their D is maybe even better than da Bears. But maybe Aaron and Co., can take that and learn and have a little better game plan. But they got the job done, which is all that matters. The only thing that concerns me is they only won by 1 touchdown on a team who's QB appeared to give up, the Steelers will be 1000 miles an hour the whole game, and BBen will not give up ever. Its going to be a tough game on both sides considering Packers D doesn't play around either.

LOL :rotfl: Very nice words coming from a Browns fan. Here's a "true" Steeler fan who is very impessed with all the nice words for our team.

And I have to say to you, Browns fans are true fans. All those losing seasons and still a fan. That says alot for your fanbase. :thumbsup2

Plus we knew a true Browns fan would NEVER pull for the Steelers.

GO STEELERS! :yay:

I find it hilarious that some Steeler fans seem to think Pittsburgh is the only team that has loyal, die hard fans all over the country. :rotfl:

As far as fan loyalty goes, I don't think any team can beat the Pack. :thumbsup2

We're one of a kind. :cheer2:

We never said that. And not being from Steeler nation , you would not understand.

Ever watch a Steeler away game, we play some teams and it sounds like the Steelers are playing at home. The fans follow the team.

We also have many transplanted fans. When our steel mills closed up here in the 80's many people moved to different areas of the US and took their love for the Steelers with them.

There are Steeler bars in almost every major city in the US. I don't mean sports bars. I mean someone loves the Steelers , bought a bar and the whole thing is done in black and gold and dedicated to the Steelers. On our local news today, they named 3 in the Dallas /Fort Worth area, incase you wanted to make the trip to Dallas and didn't have a ticket for the big game.

Never said other team didn't have loyal fans. Shoot read the pp's post about the Browns. Now those Browns followers are some loyal fans.

Only a Steeler fan knows...We are Steeler Nation!

The thing is Packer Fans are the same.....we will not hear word of anything else for the next 2 weeks because "We LOVE our Packers..." In good times and bad....

Then I guess the same goes for you..How would you know what Packers fans are like if you aren't from around here?

That being said, I hate the whole "nation" tacked onto ANY sports team...Patriots Nation, Red Sox Nation, Steelers Nation, whatever. It's just annoying.

You're funny.

Like I said before, the Steelers don't have a monopoly on loyal, dedicated fans.

That's why the Packers have sold out every single home game since 1960...and the waiting list for season tickets has more people on it than there are seats at Lambeau. If I put my son on that list today, at 14 years old, he'd be dead of old age before his name came up. :thumbsup2

As in Pittsburgh. Our games have been sold out every year for as long as I can remember. Its never a worry here that our games will be blacked out on TV,. Our season ticket waiting list is decades long.

Scalpers were trying to sell seats for last nights game for $300.00 a piece for nose bleed seats, and I was one of over 66,000 who sat out in 4 degrees and -4 windchill to cheer our team to victory.

Guess we'll just have to agree that the Steelers and Packers both have some pretty loyal awesome fans. :thumbsup2

Can't we just say that we both have a great fan base and that they are located all over the country.

As a Packer fan I think that the Steelers will be the toughest chalenge of the year... they are an all around good team (like the packers).

This will be a good hard fought battle!!!

Good luck to both sides. (ok maybe a little more luck to the packers :rolleyes1)
