Hi everyone! I really don't know where this week has gone - I've not had anything different on to normal but I just don't seem to have 5 minutes to myself. Anyway, I've just had a quick skim through everything and there are some beautiful outfits posts, as normal.

I have however had the time to finish one outfit - good job as I've been at it for weeks!! I cut out all the pieces and when I came to add on the contrasting colour it was no where near as big as the piece I was joining it too, so I abandoned it for a while. I was convinced I'd done the pleats horribly wrong but after going through everything again, it looked OK so I just recut the colour to fit. I'm pretty sure the pattern was wrong as the top doesn't look wrong (to me anyhow)

th_Picture004-1.jpg

One day I will make something that fits I promise!!! I'm too tight to make a 1/2 and it only last a short while so Hope's having to wear a huge 1 for a while longer!!

Please excuse the dribble - it doesn't last forever does it???

Thanks for looking - Clare XX
Adorable outfit, and adorable baby too :cloud9:

That is just too cute and don't feel bad about making a size larger than what is needed. I have been doing that since Jenna was born.

I am back from the baby shower and the outfits that I made were a huge hit. Everyone there loved the things that I made and they were passed around to everyone at the party. Even the mommy to be liked them :scared1: . I really am shocked, because later she told me that she wouldn't wear anything that her mother made for her.
Happy to hear the gifts were appreciated, I had a feeling they'd be a hit!

Yaaaa that's awesome!!! :thumbsup2

Really cute stuff posted today....Clare your DD is just adorable and I love that pleated outfit.

Well I finished one of 5 outfits for Sesame Place on Wednesday. Here is my DD3 modeling outside at dusk...hopefully the pics aren't too dark. Tomorrow is Father's Day and I don't know how much sewing I am going to get in. Anyways... here is the completed Zoe outfit which I showed part of before:

Your DD looks so cute in the Zoe outfit, the running pic is too funny :rotfl:

I finished the top I was making the applique for:

I am still debating on what to do for the pants. So far the two options are black with pawprints made from the spotted material and a red ruffle or spotted pants with black pawprints and a red ruffle. What do ya'll think??
That is adorable, I think the black with pawprints and red ruffle would be cute.

I finished my bowling shirt. Given the limits of using the fabric my DS picked out I am very happy with the final product. I was a bit scared to make a button down shirt but this one went together perfectly. Now I've got lots of ideas for other variations.

That turned out fantastic!

What about one leg of each?

OK! My trip is booked! My meals are booked! We're going to Disney World! Woo Hoo! I did have to sacrifice a few meals that just weren't available (I'm sure because of free dining). However, we did get the biggest things that we wanted. We're booked at 1900 Park Fair, Rose & Crown, 50's Prime Time, O'Hana's, Norway Princess Dinner, Biergarten, Liberty Tree & Cinderella's Royal Table. I also booked Bibbity Boppity Boutique for the morning before Cinderella's Royal table. I'm PSYCHED!
Sound like an awesome (and yummy!) trip you have planned, I loved the PSB meal princess:

Your little one is the cutest thing! That red hair is killer! The outfit is great! I love it.

Now my son wants something so I have to figure out what to make him. clothes for Yellowie isn't cutting it any more. Next time patterns go on sale I will have to grab something to make for him and my niece.

Congrats!

You ladies are such an inspiration I have finally decided to start sewing for my best friends little girl. (I have 3 boys) My question is this " I am attaching a ruffle to the bottom of a dress and wonder if I should top stitch it after sewing it on. If so should the top stitch be above on the dress with everything ironed up or ironed down and have it below on the ruffle.
I agree with what everyone else said. Press it up and topstitch on the dress. I usuall topstitch about 1/8" up from the bottom.

WOO HOO! Guess what I'm doing? I'm on the phone reserving our next trip! September 19-28!

Yes, it is sooner than we thought, but we couldn't stand it any longer! We're trying to get in on free dining, too! Let the sewing begin!
WOO-HOO!!! How exciting!!! I am SO jealous! I had a major Disney attack while writing my last TR installment. *sigh*

That girl melts my heart!! How sweet that she wanted us to see how fast she can run. Tell her I said she's fast like lightning!!

I love the dress, too! The applique looks great and the fabric is adorable!

Question for ya - billy and I will be celebrating our 15th anniversary this October. We would like to plan a nice trip, but arent sure what to do - I was thinking Hawaii or a disney cruise or some carribean island - so at dinner tonight I asked him about it - guess what he said - "i was thinking we could rent a camper and travel around" - uhhhhh - dont get me wrong, usually I would think that is really fun - but, this is a special anniversary!!! What is he thinking???? or isnt he???
:rotfl2: Yeah, driving around in a camper= romantic? Not so much!

As much as I love Disney, I vote for Hawaii for your romantic vacation. It was the most romantic vacation I've ever went on. :lovestruc I LOOOVE Hawaii, especially the island of Kauai. Here's my Hawaii trip report if you want to read about it.
http://www.geocities.com/heaths32/hawaii.html
We rented a private house (cost the same as a hotel) and had our own pool and hot tub and it was just beautiful!!

ADORABLE! Thanks to you, I now have sticky fingerprints all over my screen because Sawyer really loves it too! :rotfl2:

I vote for black pants, spotted pawprints, and a red ruffle!

I LOVE it!! It turned out wonderfully! I like that you used the blue for the placket and collar. Very cute!

That is so great! LOVE it!!! And your DD is so adorable!

That is just too cute and don't feel bad about making a size larger than what is needed. I have been doing that since Jenna was born.

That is so cute! A little too big is much better than a little too small!

I am :rotfl: about the dribble. Some babies are more leaky than others. Soon those teeth will come in!

Oh, so cute! I love these colors on her! I still make everything big, and my kids don't grow THAT fast anymore!

Really cute stuff posted today....Clare your DD is just adorable and I love that pleated outfit.

I LOVE this! The colors are just great on her!!

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

Thanks!!

mmmm still haven't figured where it came from!! We just hope it stays that colour forever!!

In the first thread, there are some bold letters that say "Please read for valuable information" it will explain most everything there, including where the bookmarks are. Or, you can just click the link in my siggy. :thumbsup2

I think I am losing it!!! I read that entire page but I have this little nagging attention problem and about 10 minutes after I have read something I couldn't tell you anything I have just read. As a matter of fact as I was reading through all of the threads trying to find the current day stuff I read that page 2 times because I got half way through it the 2nd time and thought to myself "Man this seems familiar" Sad. That is why I hate patterns I have to read them like 10 times before I can manage to get the first step done. :rotfl: Maybe it is the 3 kids I have running around this zoo!! I don't remember things being that bad 10 years ago...oh wait my oldest is 10. Just kidding they are good kids but all 3 of them are wall climbers!

 That is great! Where are you staying?

In all th excitement, I forgot to say! We're staying at Carribbean Beach. We're DVC owners so it's been a long time since we've stayed in a non-villa resort. We always loved staying at Carribbbean Beach though.

Oh my goodness. All I did was miss one day and had 10 pages to read. Woah! You guys will never guess what I scored last night!!!!! One of my first posts if not my first was that I was looking for the Minnie fabric with the large spread out dots.....I scored a yard of it on line last night for $5.00:banana:   Go Me Go Me Go Me!!! Sorry I was just soooooo excited because I have been hunting for it for so long so high and low and could not find it anywhere. The person said they just were cleaning out their fabric they weren't using.

I can't believe all the stuff that has been posted...A new baby...congrats, a bunch of beautiful outfits...so pretty, I saw the whale fabric and thought oh I love that but what could I do with it...now I know:idea: . A birthday for little Sawyer, Happy Birthday, A new trip with free dining, that rocks! There is so much I can't even remember it all.

I made part of my JoJo applique that I was attempting, looks good so far I want to post a pic just have to take the time to figure out how. Goofy me though...forgot to get matching thread while I was at the store. DUH!!! My DMIL #1 (I Have 2) bought my daughter an 18in doll from Toys R Us for Christmas this year. Not AG but $100 for a doll just not in the budget right now. Maybe her next birthday depending on how nice this doll is. But anyway the point is now I get to make matching clothes for her and her dolly to wear!!! Yeah well that is a whole nother ballgame for me. I am gonna need a pattern for that.:rotfl:

You guys and your inspiration are unreal!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind compliments. And HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TOM and all the dad's out there!!! :cool1:

Hi Friends!!

Are you all having a nice weekend???

Well, we participated in our communiy yard sale and made $173 - we were pretty happy - the money is going right towards our tickets to MT for Camp Promise. Tickets were sooooo expensive this year!!!

Also, I made a huge mistake cutting some fabric - I was cutting out one of the round neck tops the other night, and I folded the fabric the wrong way to cut the angle!!! UUUUUHHHHHHGGGGGGG - it was only a reminant piece with just enough fabric - now its too small to make an outfit out of - so now i need to find watermelon fabric!! has anyone seen some?

Joann's is supposed to be having a big sale tomorrow - the red dot fabric is 50% off - i LOVE that!!

Wendy:)
Wendy you cracky me up. Renting a camper and traveling around...hahahaha :rotfl: Actually it does sound kinda fun but not if you are thinking of a Disney Cruise (which would be my vote) or something...ummmmmm, not on the same plane. But congratulations :dance3: on your anniversary!!!!
That's great about the garage sale! I only made $30 or something like that at our last one :headache:
I am going to Joann's today too when I pick up my daughter! I hope my Joann's has some nice fabric on sale. I also need notions like thread, elastic and wide bias tape. I can't keep enough of that stuff around. ;)

I finished the top I was making the applique for:

Awwwww its adorable! The applique really looks great! Either choice for the pants would look great! Are you making capri's or pants for it?? You can't really tell but I made ruffled tier pants (though it kinda appears as a skirt). Let me find a pic. That way you could use all three fabrics.....
Oh here it is. This is the girls on their last day of school...Can you tell the Minnie outfit is pants????The top layer is yellow then the pink and blue.
