We are leaving for Ashford tomorrow afternoon - staying overnight in a hotel (we live a long way from Ashford) and taking the Eurostar on Monday.

The cases are packed (I can't decide if I have too much or too little! ), my Mum is ready to come and look after the moggies and I just have to get my part of the driving out of the way before I can relax :teeth:

You are much closer to Ashford than me so you have a good excuse:):) Have a super time :yay:

BTW - It looks like we're in for some chilly weather - but it does at least look mainly dry

I hope that snow clears soon. It isn't meant to last long. And BTW I think you will have the best time no matter what hotel you are at :thumbsup2

thanks quack, we looked at the dlp hotel, and we could ahve stayed there but we also need stuff doing to the house, so we opted for the cheaprer cheyenne, (which is the only one that would take us 5) and do stuff to the house as well.

Can you believe that I am STILL in a dilema about the winter coats. The pac-macs are packed but I think I may get the boys to wear the thicker coats just in case....or maybe not.....sigh! :confused3

We stayed at Explorers last year - we had a great time. I have heard some great reports on the Cheyenne:D

quack i have just looked up the weather, looks like its going to be dry, and around 6-70c,. now i am also in a dilemma,. should i pack thicker coats and leave the pac a macs behind?? dh says to let us wear the thick coats for the plane and take teh pac a macs as well, i am starting to pack tomorrow. have a safe journey.

hey i never thought of that, how expensive are they? but then they would be used alot up here in the north when we get home.

Thanks guys. It is snowing here this morning so I am taking the thicker coats (pac-macs too because they don't take much space). My boys greeted me this morning with "HAPPY HOLIDAY DAY" bless 'em

Regarding the thicker coat debate, I think my thicker coat that I wear here wil be too thick as it is well padded and I will get too hot when I go in shops and attractions, which I plan to do a lot of! Decisions, decisions, Have a great time Quack!!

Thanks Emmo. We have decided to take a third small bag with the winter coats in. We will leave it in the car tonight and decide tomorrow if it is cold enough to take them!!!

Leaving the house in 2.5 hrs :woohoo:
