Package to a room?

We have a package with free dining for November that is almost paid in full. Im reading about the possible room discounts coming out tomorrow and that got me wondering......

Would I even be able to change from the package with free dining to a room with a discount and then add the tickets without a big hassle/mess? Im not sure if they would tell me they would need to refund me my money paid on the package or could just transfer it to the room with the tickets? I don't want the hassle of and don't think I can do a refund...the credit card I use doesn't have a credit limit as high as how much I have paid so far.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You could just change package codes.
