I KNOW this has been asked before and I deeply apologize. DH just crunched numbers and we think it will be less expensive for us to bring our camper down over spring break rather than staying at SoG as we planned.:banana::banana: I am so excited!!! Long, bumpy drive from WV but we loved FW when we stayed in a cabin last year and we love our little camper so....

So I'm headed over to the disney site to look at availability but I have 2 newbie questions:

1. Can the 7/3 deal be applied to the campsites?

2. Can you purchase the dining plan when staying at a campsite?

Thanks so much in advance...so HAPPY to be camping at the Fort!!!:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

1. No the great deals being offered, like the 4/3, 5/2 and free dining cannot be applied to the campsites. (Haven't heard of the 7/3 but I am sure it cannot be used either) Cabins yes, campsites no.

2. Yes, you can purchase the dining plan, just can't get it for free when it is offered.

I assume you are military since you mentioned SoG. If you are active and will be going before Dec. 23 (I think it is the 23rd, somewhere around there) of this year, Disney is offering 5 day base tix for $99 per person and the active member is free. You can only buy up to 5 tix.

You can get AAA discounts on the campsites sometimes. I also think I heard someone mention once that they were given a military discount, but I have always been told there is no such thing. It never hurts to ask.

Thanks, I did mean the 4/3 deal...guess I'm too excited! :-) Still crunching numbers...wow, a site is more expensive than I thought!!! Hope it's still cheaper than SoG (although I love SoG). I think I'm going to contact Dreams Unlimited and see what they can tell me...

We have been to DW twice this year (DD and I going for the third time over Thanksgiving!:cool1:) so we've used our military deal but thanks for the info, very much appreciated!

Ok, not as expensive as I thought...I'm doing things in too much of a hurry and multitasking at the same time. Time to slow down and concentrate. :rotfl: I am looking at seven days for a campsite and thought the DDP would be less expensive than paying OOP (we'll do breakfast at the camper but all other meals out) but now rethinking that...headed over to the Disney Dining board and get opines there.

You guys are the best...love knowing I can come here and get experts' advice!
