Can you use the discount codes if you plan to book a package deal? Or is it better to get your rooms secured then add your airfare and tickets later? There will be 8 of us all together so saving on room prices would be great. :D
We are traveling in July...

The various discount codes are very specific as to how and when they can be used. There are room-only discount codes that are available to Florida residents only. The same goes for AP codes. Codes come out for the general public for both room-only and package discounts on a regular basis. There are none out for July, yet.

I have found in the past the the package codes don't fit our vacationing style and so I haven't tried to use them in quite a while. If you are set on your dates and where you want to stay, you can always book the room now and then keep an eye out for any codes that can be applied later. You will only have to pay a single night's deposit for the room as opposed to a $200/person deposit on a package.

As far as airfare and rental car addons, I've always done better booking them myself than doing them thru a TA. The flight times, costs and choice of rental car agencies has never been satifactory to me when a TA has done them. And the costs have never been lower than I could get by doing a little online research myself.

Regarding the tickets...the new MYW passes could be a better deal than the old PHPs. It's going to take a few months to see how well they are working for people. The MYW passes will begin going on sale Jan. 2.
