when you buy a package say from costco, getawaytoday or even disneyland when do you get your park tickets? We are planning to stay 4 nights, but want to go to DL for one day with family a few days before our actual stay at the hotels and parks, when our package hotel would begin. So I'm planning on adding an extra day at the parks on the package, but I'm not sure if this is possible, depending on when we would get the tickets. Anyone have any idea if this would be possible.

It usually comes about 2 weeks before.

They send the tix and hotel vouchers etc etc after your final payment is due (even if you've paid in full long before that). So yes it's possible to get "more" ticket than you need, as long as you're not leaving too far in advance so you wouldn't get the package.

But you might really look into pricing things out separately...quite often, room only plus buying tickets in another way can come out cheaper. Sometimes it goes the other way, so it's best to figure out what you want then find the best/cheapest way to do it.
