It seems like DLP is always offering some kind of special like the free day/night going on now. I priced out a 4 night/5 day package checking in on Thursday (not a coincidence) 18th January. The rates I saw were Santa Fe $528USD and Cheyenne $656USD. These prices seemed quite reasonable to me considering this is including passes and breakfast. Historically have there been deals in January since it is the slow season or should I just be happy to pay the above prices?

January has the kids free offer, and also the one night free offer - for UK bookings. I looked at the US booking page and couldn't see any mention of the latter.

I would have thought that if they are ever going to do such offers, then January would be a certainty.

I can't figure out how they price these things, example:
On the UK site 4 night/5 day kids stay free (although it it just my wife and I so the free kid thing is irrelevant) Checking in 18 Jan at Cheyenne is 382GBP and Santa Fe is 322GBP converted to USD is $722 and $608 respectively. When I book on the US site the packages are $656 and $528. Quite a bit less.

Also you were correct that there is a stay for 4 pay for 3 deal on the UK site (not on the US site) that has these packages for 308GBP and 264GBP converted to USD $582 and $498. Even cheaper still.

So on the one hand they charge the UK residents more for a classic package but they turn around and offer a special deal that isn't available to Americans that would save more money.

A paying customer is a paying customer, why wouldn't these packages have the same availability and pricing world wide?

In order to maximise incomes by targetting promotions at specific countries and charging rates that they feel customers will pay. Can't say I agree with it but many services conduct business the same way :confused3
