Package delivery to resort logistics???

Can someone help me understand how the package delivery to the resort works?

• Are there only select locations that you can have a package delivered to the resort?
• Where are the packages delivered?
• How long does it take?
• Is there a receipt or ticket that is needed to arrange delivery or pick it up?

We've never taken advantage of this and since we are planning on going bag-less to the parks on this trip, I may be taking advantage of this.

Thanks, siskaren. That is great info. Unfortunately, it looks like I neglected to include some important info in my post. I am curious about the logistics for having items sent from the parks to the resort. For example, if I purchase an item at a gift shop at Epcot, and want it taken to my resort so I don't have to carry it around with me at the park. What do I do? How does this work?

Ask for this service when you buy it. The CM will fill out a slip and attach it to the package, you'll get a copy of this slip as a claim receipt and be able to pick it up later that day (I think) or the next day, and usually at the resort's main gift shop.

package will be available for pickup the next day at your resort gift shop. I miss the days when they were actually delivered to your room. So exciting to find packages on the bed when you come in!!
One more way Disney makes it look like they're providing a service for you when in fact they're getting you to shop more. If you had to carry it all, you'd buy less so.....

Anything personalized though will have at least an extra day added on. And some extra fragile stuff (Pick a Pearl) won't delivery.

Yep, though the t-shirt making shop requires 3 days I beleive.
