We booked our trip through the disney web site (rooms, tickets and dinning plan). We booked our flight ourselves. We are renting a car so we are not using disney transportation from the airport. We have paid in full about 2 weeks ago and are traveling May 14th. My question is do we receive a package from disney with tickets, maps anything???? If so when do we receive them. Just wondering cause i'm a first timmer!!
Any help would be great!

No one has EVER booked online. Wow, that is interesting!

If you booked a package (room and tickets) you will receive a package from Disney about 2 or 3 weeks prior. It will contain your reservation information, a couple brochures and luggage tags. At least, that what it use to contain. I'm not sure if anythings changed since they started Magic Your Way. It won't give you a ton of information as a newbie though, so your best bet is going to be to continue to dig around on here for info.

Thank you kandmwedding, I was starting to wonder?? From what I have heard from OP was that they got theirs 2-3 weeks after booking their trip, but that was using a "conventional" reservations. Thanks for your help. Guess I will just keep running to the mailbox for the next 5 weeks! LOL

I posted a thread a few days ago asking basically the same question and I was told it is normally sent 21 days before your ressie date. So about 3 weeks.

I am leaving May 13th and cannot wait for something with "the mouse" on it to come...I am so excited!!!

This is also our first time going!!!

I got my package today from Disney..it is now official we are going to WDW!!!!

WOOHOO

Inside was:

A plastic envelope to hold important info with mickey heads embossed into it.

Your trip itinerary (basically the same as your reservation info, and your check-in voucher)

Luggage tags with Tinkerbell on the front!! DD about flipped when I showed them to her...LOL

So now we have 34 days left to go!!


You should get yours in the next few days I would think since we will be there the same time..

We made our reservations on line for our trip this past March. We bought our tickets to the parks separately, airline tickets, rooms even Mears shuttle. We received the tickets about a week after we ordered them. We received nothing from Disney, Mears or JetBlue. Our email confirmation was all that was needed. We did call Disney several times for requests that we had forgotten to make. Everything was fine at check in too. They had us in the computer. It's hard to trust technology though isn't it??

The only room requests noted are smoking/non-smoking and handicapped accessable. The rest are just requests and noted on your ressie for the room assigner/check-in people.

Always remember that besides the two I mentioned (smoking and accessable) absolutely nothing is promised. Go with the attitude that if you get them, it's a bonus - but don't pin your hopes on them.

If you want your requests honored, the earlier in the day you check-in the better, as more rooms are generally available. Also, instead of requesting a specific floor in a specific section, it's best to tell them *why* you want what you want. This way, they can try to accomodate your needs (close to food, close to bus, away from pool noise, etc.) with another location you might not have known about.

I don't know if it is true or not but I AM HOPING IT IS!!!

The first CM I talked to when making my ressie told me that the WHOLE TOY STORY building was non-smoking...

So let's cross our fingers for that one and hope she knew what she was talking about!!!

I have bad asthma and the thought of not being able to breathe when I got there would put a HUGE damper on things..LOL
