Pack n plays in the condo question

The condo we're staying in says they have a pack n play and a high chair. Have any of you used/seen a pack n play in any condo? Are they usually in pretty good condition? I just wonder if I should still bring my own or just use the one they have there? Yeah, wierd question, I know. I just keep thinking about what if some other kid got sick in it or had accidents in it or something. KWIM? WWYD?

The pack n plays which are in the homes usually hold up well. I always recommend checking them thoroughly before using them, to make sure they are not damaged (which is rare). If they are, then call the management company or owners straight away.

If you are worried about little accidents, then how about a wipe down with a disinfecting spray or wipe before using?

Another suggestion is www.abbf.com (A Baby's Best Friend) they rent out all sorts of gear for babies including travel and full size cribs. I didn't notice what age child you had, but older infants who can climb out of portable cribs may be better in a full size one which you can rent from abbf.

Just a final suggestion, for peace of mind and not to scare anyone, but just ask your owner/MC the model of the pack n play and check out if it is on a recall or not. There was a recall recently. I personally keep an eye on all recalls and check against our inventory on any items that may be affected.

Thanks so much! I will contact the owner. I'll bring my own sheets. My baby is 10 months so still a little young yet to not have him a playpen or crib.
I was going to get a couple small cans of Lysol to pack anyway so I will wipe it down. Not having to bring my own pack n play will free up some space in my truck!

That's a good idea, to wipe the baby things down. They also make those lysol wipes that are convenient.

We had two beautiful Rainforest Pack'n Plays from Fisher Price that were on recall!! We had to cut the netting from the sides up and send them back to Fisher Price--they did refund us most of the monies. It was sad to have to do that as they were only 1 and 2 years old, respectively. Then we went out and bought two very nice Graco's.

When you get there just check the baby items out well and make sure they are in good working condition. If there are any difficulties, just contact the management company right away and I'm sure they'll see you get another one, but 99 out of 100, they'll be just fine!
