We'll be visiting in early October, and we ALWAYS eat at the PWC. Love their soup bowls!

But, they're not currently open. Does anyone know anything about it?

TIA!
Julie

Boudin Bakery has been unable to open to make bread bowls. I read a post on another site by a cast member that gave some context to what's going on. Apparently when everything shut down in March 2020, people working at the DCA Boudin bakery (like almost everyone else) assumed the shut down was just going to last for a couple of weeks. There are apparently different methods for shutting down the machinery in bakery operations and the short term shut down method was used. Because the shut down eventually lasted over a year, there were problems with some of the mechanics because the method used to shut them down was for short-term non-use instead of long-term non-use. They are now waiting on parts and repairs to be implemented before Boudin on Disney property can be re-started. In the meantime, places like Harbour Galley and the French Market are serving their soups in a bowl with a roll on the side. My guess is that because the Pacific Wharf Cafe is so bread-focused, it's easier for it not to open until the bakery can start operations again.

Yes, thank you so much for the info, Stephanie!
Fingers crossed that something happens prior to October.

I'd love to hear any other updates or info, if anyone come across anything between now and then!
