P/S/D demystified?

I came across this on a fairly reputable site.

Since no one else has come up with some type of formula to make heads or tails of the new S/P/D this could be what they are doing.

Stay, Play, and Dine
~ Discounts room. tickets and dining plan..must have tickets for length of stay to get that portion discounted (staying 4 days/3 nights must have 4 day ticket..etc)
~ For most stays Jan. 5  March 5, 2014
~ 3 Night Minimum Stay Required
Excluded:
Disneys Art of Animation Resort
Disneys Grand Floridian Villas
Disneys Fort Wilderness Campsites


So.... theoretically if this is true, my 7 day/6 night stay may be cheaper if I book a 6 or 7 day ticket as opposed to the 5 day ticket I currently have.

When the public deal comes out on the website I'll play around with the numbers. I hate calling--- it just confuses me more.

That still doesn't answer how much the room discounts are, which is the biggest question.
