Ok... Here is my question.. We have one day at MK scheduled this time.. It's on Sunday, April 6th, which has closing at 7:00 due to P&PP.. I had not thought to go due to: DD8 doesn't really care for princesses anymore, but would love the pirate stuff, and DD3 more into Star Wars than pirates.. Anyway, because MK closes early that night I was thinking of going ahead and doing P&PP just to stay alittle longer in the park.. We do plan on being at RD the next morning, in order to see McQueen and Mater at DS, so I don't know if the P&PP would be a good idea.. For the amount of money, is it worth maybe only staying for a few hours that night?? I know my family would not be there until 12:00...

Thanks for your help...

I'm confused, why do you have to do RD at DHS to see those characters? I thought they appeared multiple times during the day :confused3

As far as the P&PP goes though, how late do you think you would stay? If you're only there until 8 or 9, that's a very expensive hr or two.

Personally, I would not attend unless I was going to stay the whole time. That's a very expensive few hours to be there.

We are only going to be at DS for half a day... We are meeting up with friends at Universal later that day, for the second round of our vacation.. I am wanting to see McQueen first thing, so that we can move on and see as much of the park as we can before we have to leave for the day....

We went to a P&PP last August. DDs were 4.5 & 3.5. We got there at 5:30 and grabbed some quick counter dinner. The CMs were just starting to clear everyone out and set up the treasure spots. We started in Frontier Land and were able to ride BTMRR 2-3 times with no wait then when on Pirates and Aladdin when it started to get busy. By this time, Fantasy Land and Tomorrow Land were packed. The lines to get treasure (candy, necklaces and trinkets) were not so bad but the kids lost interest rather quickly. I felt compelled to go on every line though to get our moneys worth. There were a lot of characters but the lines for them were also long. The parade was great but my 2 DDs were pooped out and never made it to the 9:45pm fireworks display (which was awesome.) After that, DH and I pushed around 2 sleeping toddlers and took turns going on rides. To be honest, I would not invest the money again in such a late nite. I would rather get up early and be at rope drop than stay up late with the kids hoping that they make it.

I had my doubts about P&PP, but SIL wanted to pay for my family to attend with her and her two DD, 3.10 & 1.5 years old. My girls are both 3.7.

Well, we went and it was DEAD!! I mean we rode every ride in fantasyland 3-4 times in a row without getting off. I have to admit it was also a lousy night (rainy) but I have to assume if people bought tickets they would still go even if the weather wasn't 100%.

Now, my girls are on a pretty strict routine and are in bed by 8pm the latest. Well, when we were leaving the park at 1130PM all the kids were running, laughing and were soooo excited about getting to ride ALL the rides. They could care less about characters, treasure, etc.....it was all about the rides. Sure they were all dressed up in Cinderella's dresses and we were all kind of soaked, but in all the times we have visited WDW, this was the best night we have had. We were there a couple of weeks ago and it was on a Thursday....if that matters.

Now, if you plan on leaving the park by 9pm dont bother spending that money.

Thank you all for the feedback.... It really helps to hear from other people... We just love MK so much, but I think we are going to skip the P&PP this time.. I hate that we can't spend all day in MK, but as some of you pointed out, when you have young kids you need to follow their lead.. I think the best thing for our family to do is leave at 7:00, go back to the hotel and get some rest before our trip to DS the next day.... Thanks for convincing me....

We were at the P & PP on February 9th, and it was the best part of our vacation. My children are 3, 5 & 7, and they had a great time. My daughter was not at all interested in dressing up as a princess, she could care less. However, she really liked listening and dancing to the music and playing the games they had set up for the kids. My two boys loved it as well. There were no lines anywhere and the fireworks were the best I had ever seen. We got to the park at about 7 pm and stayed until 11. For us the evening was magical and very special. If we are ever at disney at the same time they are having one of these special events, we will definatley go.pirate:

We were just at the PNPP on 3/14. It was a rainy night and we dubbed it the Pirate, Princess and Poncho Party! However, it was the highlight of our trip. Our kids were still running and laughing as we were leaving the park a little after midnight... and they are usually in bed by 8:00! They did have a nap in the afternoon to get them ready.

Here is a suggestion... if you have done MK before and have seen most of it, maybe you could consider doing your half day at DHS on the day of the party, go back to the hotel to recharge for a few hours and then do the party that night. We arrived for the party at 4:30 and were able to get into the park at that time, so we had nearly 8 hours in the park and accomplished much more than we did two days later when we spent the entire day, with EMH, at MK. There is hardly any wait for rides, the character lines went very fast, and there is a magic that fills the air. And, for the pirate fans, it is your chance to meet Jack Sparrow! If you do this, you would have the next morning to sleep in and get ready for round two of your vacation!

Hope you have a wondeful trip!!!

Because the PPP is a hard ticket event you don't need a park pass to get in either. If you plan it right you could also save money!
